Notice of intent to carry out works to a tree protected by Tree Preservation Order 4/75 - Beech T2 Fell This tree has decay fungi fruiting bodies at the base of the trunk Ganoderma on northern and southern side of trunk with Kretzschmaria deusta observed at ground level and has recently suffered failure of 2 large limbs with significant deadwood in the canopy. The risk posed by this tree due to decay fungi which are likely to be impacting on the integrity of structurally important roots as well as lower trunk It is located to the front of the property close to the highway boundary with the driveway, subject and neighbours properties, pavement and roadway with bus stop all potential targets if this tree fails. Proposed to replace with Sweet Gum or similar sized ornamental tree.
