Request for a Screening Opinion as to whether an Environmental Impact Assessment is required for an application for full planning permission for Class B8 open storage to enable the end user to store defunct vehicles, machinery and mechanical components. Whilst under the recent planning permission it is possible currently for the site to operate for a temporary period as an open storage facility (subject to the discharge of conditions), the landowner and the interested tenant would like to enter into a longer term lease for such use to aid business certainty. (Please note that this is not a planning application and therefore we are not carrying out public consultation on the proposal at this stage).
