Tree surgery to all trees as specified in each of the following areas: Pedestrian routes: Lift crowns to 2.5m from ground level and balance crowns where required. Vehicle access routes: Lift crowns to 4.5m and balance crowns where required. Animal exhibits with mesh enclosures/ perimeter fencing: Prune back to clear mesh/perimeter fencing by 2.0m, retaining character and habit of trees. Animal exhibits with electrical installations: Prune branches to clear electrical installations. Meshed-over animal exhibits: Carry out formative pruning to retain character and habit within the available space and to meet animal welfare requirements. Tree surgery to all trees of the following species: Fraxinus excelsior 'Pendula': Prune back to previous pruning points. Paulownia tomentosa: Re-coppice/re-pollard where required. All species: Remove basal and trunk epicormic growth to crown break.
