Part demolition of the existing building together with its repair, restoration and enhancement; alterations to the front elevation through the replacement of existing windows with timber framed sash windows together with the reinstatement of a stone sill and the reinstatement of the lead roof above the ground floor bays, and replacement of the existing door; alterations to the east (park facing) elevation, including the removal of a non-original section towards the middle of the building to create a lightwell and ground floor courtyard, and the boundary wall to the park will be maintained and made good where needed; replacement of the existing dormer windows to the east elevation at first floor level; alterations to the rear elevation with the installation of a new window and bi-folding doors at ground level giving access to the garden; alterations to the mansard roof at first floor level which will be squared off to balance the appearance across this elevation with new timber framed windows also being installed; and alterations to the west elevation (facing no.263), with the replacement of the two existing roof windows with one additional window also formed.
