Minor Material Amendment: Variation of Condition 2 (Amendment to approved plans), including 3rd floor lift access to be relocated, 3rd floor plan changes, as a result of the above service access/ entry location from roof over Barras Building (and demolitions), required for support to chimney breast, new doors to cloaks area on 2nd floor, blocking up of window with glazed bricks to match existing to lightwell/ lift shaft on 2nd floor, to maintain fire integrity/shaft enclosure. Provision of ladder access to North Elevation from Barras Building Roof to permission 2020/0656/01/DET dated 31/07/2020: Refurbishment and re-use of the Claremont Buildings as an urban room, exhibition, engagement space (Class D1) and start-up business incubator space (Class B1) for Newcastle University. External alterations including replacement shopfronts and doors, increase size of window opening to form a door, insertion of 4 new rooflights, installation of plant and equipment to flat roof of Barras Building and associated hard and soft external landscaping, as amended by plans received 15 and 23 July 2020.
