Reduce eastern aspect of crown to give 1-1.5m clearance of building and shape to give the tree a balanced crown outline. Crown lift to give 2m clearance above ground level in the garden and 5.2m clearance above road level on western/ roadside aspect of crown (Highways Regulations). Also, sever ivy at base using hand tools only.
