A surface mine for the extraction of up to 1.2 million tonnes of mineral comprising fireclay and coal, with associated formation of vehicular access onto Ponteland Road (B6323) and associated temporary site compound buildings and water treatment areas, with restoration to agricultural and ecological uses including, woodland, species rich grassland and multi-user access routes as amended by information received 4 December 2019 including addendum to Environmental Statement, and further information and second addendum to Environmental Statement received 15 June 2020.
