The Lime Tree is about 26m high and base diameter 1.24m; it is on the access track to The Vine Yard and close to Stanway Road and adjacent houses; the ultrasound scan shows extensive decay at the base of the tree; the decay is the fungus "ganoderma applanatum"; the tree is weighted to the north-east and it could fall into the cricket ground or the road which it overhangs by 9m.
