This is an application for further consent to that granted on 23 September 2019 under application number 19/01278/TPO. The details are identical and repeated below. There period of consent was for two years but it would be beneficial form a financial perspective if this could be extended to 5 years. Works advised by Samual Donington of S&D Landscapes (report 'WRA_21-02' in supporting documents) to minimise risks and encourage further development of non-Sycamore specimens as part of the ongoing plan to increase diversity of species in the woodland, as follows: Risk Reduction . Cut back or remove any encroachment of trees and shrubs into the carriageway area of Woodland Road (also remove deadwood in trees overhanging the public carriageways and footways of Woodland Road and Woodland Rise). Encouraging Young Desirable Diverse Trees . Over the next 5 years, continue progressively working from the southern end of the woodland selecting individual non-Sycamore specimens for encouragement (Table WRA_21-03 in supporting documents shows a summary of the tree specimens in the woodland, including those planted over the past 28 years). . Clear all ground cover from under the canopy of the selected specimens, mulch cleared area, remove or prune nearby competing young trees up to 75mm diameter at 1.3m and other vegetation and remove deadwood from trees overhanging the selected specimens. . Remove basal tree shoots and low-level weak branches up to 45mm diameter from specimens to be encouraged and from nearby more mature trees. . The selection of specimens to be removed, pruned or encouraged will be made by S&D Landscapes (in discussion with the Council if required) based on their relative merits, proximity to other trees, chances of survival and likely success after pruning, if necessary by selecting only one for encouragement out of a group of closely spaced young trees or saplings of the same or different species and removing others to reduce competition. .
