Fell and remove 1 x Ash tree covered by G3 of Tree Preservation Order number DFTPO 77, due to safety concerns. The tree is directly adjacent to, and overhanging, the rear boundary of 21 Bayfield Gardens, and is showing early signs of infection with Ash Dieback. Large, heavy branches have already fallen into the garden.

Crown Reduction Works to 1 x Sycamore (Acer pseudoplatanus), covered by G1 of DFTPO 218 (referred to as T67 in accompanying tree survey). Specification to include a spread reduction by the removal of 1 x scaffold stem and 2 x secondary branches, as indicated in red on image, cutting back to strong secondary growth. Additional works include light pruning of the extended tips of no more than 1 meter on the road side only.

A light reduction to the top of Walnut tree T1 of DFTPO 124, between 0.5-1m with a slightly harder reduction to the sides of the tree between 1-2m where required to create an even under canopy and symmetrical tree and to improve on excessive shading of property.

Undertake the following works to two mature Oak trees covered by area A3 of Tree Preservation Order number DFTPO 172: Oak (T1 on sketch plan) - Reduce the overall height of the tree to live growths at approximately 10 - 12 metres. Reduce the radial crown spread to a maximum of approximately 6 metres to live growths. Remove or stabilise all dead wood within falling distance of the managed areas. All final cuts should be natural failure cuts (coronets). To maximise the biodiversity. Dead wood over the rough, unmanaged areas can be retained where practicable and safe to do so. Oak (T2 on sketch plan) - Completely remove the large, low, forked limb to the south, and the long-extended limb above the seating area. Remove all significant deadwood that could fall and reach the seating area. Remove the bulk of the ivy without damaging the tree. Sever ivy at base and remove a 30cm band and allow remainder of ivy stems to die off.

Works to two Oak trees covered by G1 of DFTPO 246: Minor pruning in accordance with BS3998:2010. Approximate pruning points as indicated on images supplied by the applicant (see Site Plan). In order to maintain clearance from power line, over boundary fence and to maintain distance from property. Canopies to be treated as a single entity to prevent branch failure. Major deadwood will also be removed.

Fell Lime tree covered by T4 of DFTPO 195; due to the presence of a dangerous V fork where the two main stems meet, frequent shedding of dead limbs, and root system causing structural damage to adjacent drives and paths. Plant a replacement tree (species tbc).

Failed multi stemmed Goat Willow covered by Tree Preservation Order number DFTPO 172 (A2): Fell by sections to near ground level (approximately 30cm) to leave a coppice stool which should regenerate. The work is required in order to ensure safety from injury for the users of the public open space.

Single sycamore tree within rear garden, covered by A1 of Tree Preservation Order number DFTPO 50 - Remove epicormic growth from stem base to height not exceeding 1.5m from ground level.

Undertake a 30% crown reduction to 2 x Willow trees covered by A6 of Tree Preservation Order number DFTPO 179. One tree is leaning heavily, and the second tree has large cavities in the main stem.

Oak tree T1 covered by DFTPO 164: Reduce crown by 3 metres in height and 2 metres in spread, in order to reshape and balance by cutting back to strong suitable secondary growth.
