Application to prune three trees located within G1 of the Burnley (Clifton House & Clifton Farm, Ightenhill) Tree Preservation Order 1976

Two Ash Trees adjacent to access road to Greenhill Farm, located in adjoining fields. Both trees suffering from die back but one in particular hollow in base of trunk. Aim is to reduce overhang to remove risk of damage but retain as much trees in landscape as practical. Trees to be regularly monitored / further pollarded as necessary. HAR/CA23, TPO 81E.

T2 oak tree located on the road side boundary of pool farm tree is in need of a dead wood as some substantial sized pieces and hanging dead wood however the lower canopy stretching over crumpfield lane could do with a lift to roughly 5mtrs as it keeps getting struck by farm vehicles this would involve approximately 2.5mtrs reduction of tips. T3 ash tree growing along roadside boundary in need of dead wood as substantial sized pieces and hanging wood, also lower lateral growing over rd needs target pruning to lift crown away from rd as it is being struck by farm vehicles, we recommend 2.5mtr lift of lateral growth to create clearance

Tree belt adjacent to Jewels Farm - carry out thinning to favour better trees. Reduce overhanging lateral branches where required. Detailed works to be agreed on site prior to commencement

T16 - Remove Ash tree Located on open space at junction of west lane, Stoneycroft West signs of Ash die back and fruiting body. Estate Farm, Killingworth, TPO1970

TREE BELT ALONG ALMS HILL FROM JUNCTION WITH CAXTON ROAD UP TO FIELD ENTRANCE ~ cut back canopies overhanging road by 1m and up to full height (av. 10ms) to ensure vehicular clearance to high sided farm vehicles carrying hay to prevent tree branches dislodging loads on farm trailers / lorries which subsequently litter highway.

T1 Lime - Remove (fell) to near ground level and treat stump to inhibit regrowth.Reason: Clay shrinkage subsidence damage at subject property. Please note that a further application will be submitted for the removal of TG1 Elm Group within the curtilage of Bartlemas Farm

Pruning of a London Plane tree (T1) in front of No.6 Broom Farm, subject to Tree Preservation Order TPO/186/1/92, by reduction all round to previous reduction points by approx. 4m as regrowth is becoming too large for pollard points, removal of epicormic growth, removal of dead wood, and carrying out of aerial inspection looking for signs of massaria infection and removal of affected branches.
