46 Ainsworth Avenue Brighton BN2 7BG
White Poplar (T1) - fell because of damage to the drives of both 46 and 44 Ainsworth Avenue, as well as damage to to the pavement/cross over, and grass verge, together with growth into roadside and pavement drains and kerbside water run off. The tree currently has very low public amenity value. The tree therefore to be removed to ground level and systemic root poison applied to stump. Due to the position of the tree (in the middle of a high mature euonymus hedge dividing 46 and 44 Ainsworth Avenue), it would be difficult to replace it in exactly the same location. We have however already planted a variety of trees already in the front garden of 46 - including a flowering cherry, a magnolia grandiflora and a pittosporum, together with two buddleias.
