My request is to top the trees to the rear of my property which are overhanging onto Manchester Road. One tree is a poor specimen and is overhanging onto next doors garden and likely to fall. The big tree is taking lots of light from the house as is the tree in next doors garden that overhangs into mine. The trees are beautiful (with the exception of the poor specimen) and I feel privileged to have these in my garden however I would like permission to top them to have light throughout the day.

T17 Alder fell due to the angle at which it is growing, the size interfering with telephone wire to the house. Several alder saplings growing adjacent to the tree T17 which had been growing vertically but have now started to grow at a slight angle to escape T17 shadow. The proposal is to keep the existing road facing samplings and trim to facilitate vertical growth to replace the felled tree. If felling is not permitted please could you confirm the trimming of T17 to allow for telephone wire to pass through the crown unimpeded
