153 Bramhall Lane South Bramhall Stockport SK7 2NG

T1 Oak. Fell due to long-term severe decline in condition. The tree has been in decline for a number of years and has shed the majority of it's canopy. It is now producing black exudates from the main stem and has very little canopy left. The owner is concerned about the risk of limb failure over the pavement or neighbouring driveway and would prefer to act now to prevent any potential incidents. In our opinion, the tree has no significant viable future. A similar oak also on Bramhall Lane South, recently shed large limb and has been subsequently reduced to a monolith. 3 Dumbarton Close South Reddish Stockport SK5 7EG

T1 Ash - The tree is located on the rear boundary of the property and has recently shed a large limb from an inherently weak union and broke several other minor limbs as a result, all hanging branches have since been removed. The remaining scaffold limb is structurally unsound and there is also significant lower stem decay present that has been there for quite some time. A resonance test with a plastic hammer indicated that the lower stem is hollow. Therefore, in order to maintain safety of the property it is my opinion that the remaining crown of the tree is removed in order to form a pollard just under the ripped limb. See attached photographs. TPO#: 1hN - W1

8 Formby Drive Heald Green Cheadle SK8 3EQ

Permission sort for felling of a mature Beech Tree. The tree is the only one in the rear garden of the property and is at the location shown on the sketch plan. The tree causes excessive shading, nuisance and potential dangers to the elderly owners/ occupiers. The problems and reasons permission sought itemised below:- i) large number of leaves shed in the Autumn causing difficulties for the elderly residents to constantly clear up. ii) leaves become wet and cause slip hazard iii) the tree roots have grown above the height of the surrounding ground level, has lifted flags and generally makes the patio uneven causing risk of falling for the elderly residents. iv) The lady of the house suffers with Parkinsons disease and is unsteady on her feet and prone to falling. Her elderly husband also has had major surgery and is unsteady on his feet. The uneven ground increases their risk of falling. v) The tree is located at the rear of the property and is only visible to the owners and the occupiers of the property at the rear. The tree causes nuisance to the owners and neighbours due to excessive shading and the large number of leafs shed in Autumn. The tree is of low amenity value and not desired by those who are directly affected. vi) A tree surgeon who was working close by has quoted for removal of the tree and whilst no official reports obtained, there was suggestion that a large section of vertical damage to the trunk of the tree where missing bark is visible, could be disease. vii) There are no plans to replant.
