T001 Sweet Chestnut (Castanea sativa). The overall condition of T001 is good with minor deadwood throughout. The tree has been crown lifted in the past. Recommendations To remove the deadwood and remove epicormic growth up to crown break, which is approximately 4m T002 Red Oak (Quercus rubra) is a suppressed tree from the neighbouring tree T001. T002 is growing in conflict with T001. The stem of T002 is abnormal with a small canopy. Recommendations To remove the tree. T003 Sweet Chestnut (Castanea sativa): Large tree growing on boundary with abnormal stem taper and with a canopy dominance over neighbouring property garden. The crown has been raised in the past, and epicormic growth has now formed on the trunk. Recommendations Remove epicormic growth on trunk to first scaffolds at 3m. T004 Red Oak (Quercus rubra) has a significant lean over the neighbouring boundary. The canopy dominance is also in direction of the lean. Minor soil heave is on the tensile side of root plate. T004 suppressed tree causing poor form. Recommendations Remove tree
8 Marshall Close Frimley Camberley Surrey GU16 9NY
Dead Silver Birch tree to the rear of the property. The tree is located adjacent to the shed in the back garden of 8 Marshall Close as per the attached sketch map. This is the same tree that we previously applied for permission to fell in November 2020 (SHBC Ref TTP/20/0398). Since the last inspection the tree has been in decline and is now dying/dead with barely any leaves at all this year. As in our previous application we would prefer to retain the tree but fear that it is now in such poor condition that it might fall in a storm onto our property or our neighbours.

Remove overhanging branches from the willow tree in the rear garden of 8 Marshall Close shown on the attached sketch map. The tree is overhanging my neighbours garden at 173 Cheylesmore Drive and shading his apple trees. He has asked if the larger branches might be removed in line with previous work carried out prior to us owning the house. Remove overhanging lower branches on silver birch tree in the front garden of 173 Cheylesmore Drive which are now close to the roof of 8 Marshall Close. We would like to trim these branches back to ensure they are not overhanging the roof or providing a route for squirrels to enter the roofspace. My neighbour at 173 Cheylesmore Drive owns the tree but is happy for work to be carried out to his tree.

T1: Dead Conifer - Fell T2: Palm - Fell T3: Contorted Willow ? Reduce in height by 2 metres leaving a retained height of 7 metres, reduce lateral growth by 1.5 metres leaving a retained branch length of 3.5 metres. T1's removal is due to the tree being dead, T2 removal is due it being over sized for its area and being out of keeping with the local area. T3s reduction is to maintain the tree in its current size due to its proximity to the property. The above works will not detract from the amity value of the area and there is no intention to replant due to there being significant mature trees at the property already.
