T1 Beech with majority of canopy over lawn, reduce by height by 3-4 metres to correct pruning points and side over lawn by 2-3 to previous points, to maintain tree at a reasonable size for location T2 Beech to the left (looking from house) reduce height by 3 metres to correct pruning points and lateral overhang over lawn by 2-3 metres, to maintain tree at a reasonable size for location

Norway Maple - x 3 - Remove 3 lower limbs and reduce remainder by 30% They form one canopy which we are hoping to reduce from 10M in height to 6 M (reduction of 4m) and from 8M in width to 6M (reduction of 2m). We hope to remove the lower 3 branches of the tree nearest the house (see photos).

T1 - Scots pine x 1 - reduce overlong lateral branches by around 1m, prune out broken and snagged second-order branches from the crown interior. As part of the works significant sized deadwood will be removed which is an exception under the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 and the Town and Country Planning (Tree Preservation) [England] Regulations 2012. Reasons: the tree is located in a small garden area which it has now outgrown. In conjunction with trees growing on open land behind it is now obstructing significant afternoon sunlight to the rear of the house and reducing light throughput to the ground below. The light restriction is now significant and preventing any other vegetation growth beneath the canopy spread and beyond.

The application relates to work needed to 3 trees under a general TPO. The follow plan identifies the trees T1, T2, T3 T1 Willow - Fell to level where there is no further rot to allow to grow back This is beautiful weeping willow which was made up of two main trunks. During September this year, one of these trunks fell and crushed our green house. A tree surgeon removed the fallen tree and during their assessment confirmed that this had been caused by rot in the main trunk of the tree. Their assessment is that there are 2 remaining risks 1) its likely the rot will exist in the remaining trunk and 2) significant imbalance increasing the risk of the fall. The advice was to unfortunately cut back the remaining trunk down to a level where the rot stops to try and let it regrow. T2 Plum Tree: Fell to ground level due to fungus, no recent growth clearing to give other trees and bushes space to grow T3 Spruce: Fell to ground level as increasingly leaning into neighbours, routes now above ground of lawn, and damaging walled boundary

T1 - Horse Chestnut (approx 17/20 metres high) - Front drive of Lantern House T1 has a large cavity approximately 8 metres from ground level, just below the crown break due to a previous limb drop. Cavity was noticed due to recent hornets nest. From inspection the cavity is sizeable and the wound doesn't appear to be sealing fully, leaving the tree prone to disease and decay. Tree is also in close proximity to the road and surrounding houses which makes this a higher risk if it were to fail. Recommended removal of the tree to ground level with replanting to take place.

These trees are situated on a side road off from Appleby Drive, they are as shown on the sketch map down the drive towards Durrants House (therefore the post code and trees ownership details are not exact unfortunately) The trees are owned by Merchant Taylors Place from whom we are contracted to work for T1: Wellingtonia (30m)- Deadwood T2-T4: Sycamores- Deadwood T5: Holly Oak (15m)- Deadwood T6: Cypress (15m)- Deadwood T7-T9: Sycamores (spindly 6-12m tall)- Remove to ground level T10: Wellingtonia (35m+)- Deadwood T11: Sycamore (15m)- Remove as its growing into the Wellingtonia T12: Oak- Remove as its leaning heavily and dying/dead T13: Cherry, Holly and small shrubs (all of small size, Cherry diameter 25cm): Remove to open up area T14: Sycamore (8m): Remove to ground level, growing into Oak T15: Pine (25m): Deadwood T16: Sycamore (6m): Remove to ground level, growing into larger species T17: Wellingtonia (35m+): Deadwood T18-T20: Sycamore (10m spindly): Remove to ground level

Cherry trees - dead and diseased - remove T1 - Silver Birch - front of property - Crown reduction of at least 3 meters about 30% with the four lower branches being removed and reshaped T2 - Dead tree - remove T3 - Copper Beach - side of the house - remove or 4 meters crown reduction which amounts to 30% or slightly greater and then reshape T4 - Ash trees - X 3- rear of the property - remove have Dieback disease T5 & T8 - Sycamores - crown reduction of about 30% which is between 3 and 4 meters and then need thinning whilst reshaping T7 - Cherry Blossom - crown reduction of about 2 - 2.5 meters which is about 20% to 25% and thereafter reshaping T9 - Cherry trees - dead - remove

T275 - Walnut Tree on the boundary of 79 and 77 Valley Road at the front. To trim the tree to avoid contact with the house and gutters where branches currently overhang. Reduce by 1 metre all round to create a reduced crown.
