T1 English Oak (Quercus robur) Root pruning within the foundation for the conservatory with Permitted Development planning approval. Excavation conducted so far with the approval of the Tree Offcicer to a depth of 600mm, only revealed one root of 20mm in diametre which has been pruned. The foundation will need further excavation to a probable depth of 1m, as this is below the normal rooting depth of most trees its unlikely that more roots will be revealed. If these are below 25mm in diametre they will be pruned, if above they will be retained.

T1 (TPO T15) Elm - Remove small branch (5cm dia) west at 3m and first lower limb (20cm dia) north at 4m, cutting back to main stem to maintain clearance from new dwelling. T2 Ash (TPO G7) - Remove trunk suckers up to 3m to clean stem. Lift canopy up to 6m overhanging new garage, cutting back to viable secondary growth points to maintain clearance. T5 Ash (TPO G7) - Reduce height by 2m, to leave 14m and reduce lateral limb overhanging neighbouring property south west by 5m, cutting back to viable, secondary growth points. Clean out to remove major deadwood (>50mm) and truncated branches. T9 (TPO G7) Ash - Remove branch at 11m extending north east over new dwelling, cutting back to main stem, to maintain clearance. T11 (TPO G7) Ash - Fell. Kretschmaria deusta present and associated decay to main stem significant. Suspected ash dieback. Historic limb failure, cavities and large sections of major deadwood. Due to proximity of adjacent tree population and proposed new landscaping associated with development site request to waive condition to replace ash tree (T11) proposed for removal.

T1: x1 Apple tree located in the rear garden. Suggested work - fell to ground level and treat stump with eco plugs. T2: x1 Ash tree, located in the rear garden. Suggested work - fell to ground level and treat stumps with eco plugs. Reason: vegetation subject to the application will not respond well to a severe reduction in leaf area, that would inevitably lead to decay and the development of potential hazzads.

1 The Heathers: Cherry - Remove. Cherry - Remove. T18 Goat Willow - Remove. T4 Oak - Draw back to clear house by 3m. 3 The Heathers: T1 Sycamore - Lift to 5m. This work is proposed for the side of 3 The Heathers only (a separate application is live for the work to the other side of the tree via house number 5). T2 3x Sycamore - Lift and reduce by around a third in height removing 4m leaving a minimum 8m overall height. T3 Sycamore - Remove lowest branch the side of 3 The Heathers. 5 The Heathers: T1 Sycamore - Cut back lateral spread towards house to clear by 3m. Lift to 5m, including the limb with large open cavity. Thin 20% removing secondary growth only. This work is specific to the canopy over the side of number 5 only. 7 The Heathers: Please see photos for colour references: Clear all new self seeded whips and saplings marked with yellow under 75mm dbh. (Retaining staked trees planted as part of the development conditions). 4x mixed deciduous juniors - Remove. All marked with red under 200mm dbh. Green dots are specimen mature trees for retention to comply with the TPO. T1 Hawthorn - Remove, dead. T2 Elm - Remove, dead. T3 Sycamore - Remove. T4 Yew - Remove.

T7 Acacia (marked T1 on map) - 1.5 - 2 m reduction to the southern aspect over car park. Reason: To prevent damage to cars from falling branches (branches have previously broken off and caused damage) and to reduce amount of leaf fall on development.

(T1-T23) 23 x Lime trees along the development boundary with Rayleigh Rd - To re-pollard to keep under control and out away from the phone lines.

1. Fir tree - Fell Fir Tree adjacent to driveway entrance. A number of branches have been removed by the previous owner leaving a significent coverage of dead foliage which is unsightly. The plan is to remove this tree in order to improve visibility of more established trees in that section of the garden. 2. Holly Tree - Fell Holly Tree. This tree appears to have been planted by natural seeding. It is encroaching and inhibiting branch development of a Mature Pine Tree which is the main feature of this part of the garden.

T18 Horse Chestnut - dismantle and replant. Guignardia and leaf minor has been present for several years. See notes 3.3 in main report for all Horse Chestnuts in tree data. Previously reduced but is recovering. Tagged 0015. However, there are bleeds on limbs over car park and this is a high target area. 3.3 All other tree pruning works and fells have been recommended for reasons of safety and to ensure the long-term health of the trees and to benefit the long-term development of adjacent trees, as detailed at Appendix 1. T19 Horse Chestnut - dismantle and replant. Bleeding canker throughout tree. High target area.

Works to a TPO tree: Over-mature Cedar (TPO 86A - Tree Number 39) located within development site and identified locally as T5 is to be crown lifted to 2.5m over southern footpath and receive a maximum 1.5m lateral reduction to the lowest lateral extending over the southern footpath.
