TPO No 4 1985, T1 - To take down Conifer stem to 2 metres bringing it in line with front of hedge , T2 & T3 - To crown lift 2 Ash trees to 5 metres so they are 2 metres higher than garage roof for maintenance T4 - To crown lift Yew tree to 2 metres in height by shed in rear garden for maintenance T5 - To remove front limb on Goat Willow tree with tear at 3 metres to a height of 2.2 metres leaving woodpecker hole for habitat in rear garden T6 & T7 - To crown reduce 2 Bay trees by 40% or 3 metres in height leaving a 5 metre tall bush in front garden

Yew tree - all over crown reduction of 1.5 to 2 metres to blend it into a natural shape. Attached photograph shows the yew tree with a red line indicating the required work to achieve the crown reduction. Reason - The branches are now overhanging garden and shed and in parts almost touching it, as well as our neighbours garden and shed of St. Kilda Lodge and the garages of Salcombe Court, causing excessive moss on the garage roofs and dampness.

2.0 Due to crowding, subsidence and aging of the tree stock there is a need for extensive maintenance and remedial work in both properties. 2.1 Tree 11 Oak Tree at road frontage on property boundary. Reduce/nip lower crown limbs from power and BT Lines by 1m. Further raising of the crown to low hanging branches that obstruct access to both properties. Raising of crown by 1.5 meters 2.2 Tree 12 Ash tree felled and ground. Due to proximately to domestic oil tank, as the cause of the garage and garden workshop subsistence. This tree also has a 40cm deep cavity in the lower trunk and is shading better positioned trees. 2.3 Tree 13 Mulberry tree remove secondary limb, which over hangs outbuilding by approximately 3m. The tree has been pulled lower due to its growth away for the Ash Tree 12. 2.4 Tree 13A Fig tree removal from conservatory. 2.5 Tree 14 Liquid Amber crown lift /raise max 2m keeping shape. 2.6 Tree 15 Walnut remove all major dead wood. Remove two outreach branches that overhang neighbour properties and garden shed posing a property damage risk. 2.7 Tree 16 Dual trunk Ash with subsidence, fir a cable binding in the ash to protect trunks. 2.8 Tree 17 Overgrown laurel bring down to current hedge height. 2.9 Tree 18 Maple reduction of 30% of crown by 2m 2.10 Tress 19 two "bolus" Plums grown from old fruit root stock. Are now overgrown with cracks, breaks and dead. TO be felled and taken down to grown level. 2.11 Tree 20 Remove small secondary limb of sweet chestnut back origin. 2.12 Tree 21 Crown reduction of Ash by 2meters. 2.13 Tree 21A felling of two Hawthorn trees. Two trees just under the Ash labeled 21 in the plan

MAIN APPLICATION TREE WORKS 1 1, T1 & T2 - Copper Beech trees - in front garden next to the road. Aim - to lift the crown - clean and clear dead wood with a reduction of 10% 2, T3 - Norway Maple - drive way. Aim - to lift the crown, reshape/balance (currently lopsided) crown clean with a reduction of 10% 3, G1 - rear garden area 2 poor quality Fir trees next to the garage, west side of garden Aim - remove. 1 poor quality Fir tree beneath the Holm Oak, west side of garden Aim - remove Unidentified Evergreen tree - between Holm Oak and Silver Birch - west side rear garden. Aim - Crown reduction to reduce the overall size and shape thus allowing more light to the Silver Birch Tree. A reduction of 5ft. Silver Birch Tree - rear garden Aim - Crown clean to remove dead and dying wood to prolong life of the tree. Eucalyptus Tree - east side of garden Aim - Crown reduction by 10-15% its height and proximity to our eastern boundary. It's height has become a concern to our elderly neighbour at no 76a. Elder tree - east side of garden adjacent to neighbour no 78 fence and shed. Aim - remove as dead. We intend to plant new trees once the works have been completed. Currently we have 2 new apple trees and a Persian Ironwood tree to be added to the garden in G1. We are liaising with our arborealist about sourcing suitable trees.

T1 - Sycamore - Crown lift and thin as tree branches are encroaching into neighbours garden causing excessive shading and onto roofspace of garage and house with potential to cause a nuisance and damage T2 - Sycamore - Fell due to decay within the main stem from ground level to in excess of 2m in height - sound testing indicates the stem is hollow. Replant with Sycamore sapling in same location T3 - Sycamore - Crown thin due to excessive shading to neighbouring house and garden - removal of epicormic growth T4 - Sycamore - Crown thin due to excessive shading to neighbouring house and garden - removal of epicormic growth and peg left from shed branch T5 - Sycamore - remove due to poor form of split stem, presence of tension wood and lean over busy highway and pavement (Burnley Road). Replant with Sycamore sapling in same location. T6 - Sycamore - remove due to decay within main scaffold branches in the canopy. Replant with Sycamore sapling in same location.

T1 - Willow - Crown lift over garage (at No. 197) to give 4m clearance - the tree has shed some large branches and is causing the gutters to block.

Yew (T1) Prune approx 30% of crown. Raise the canopy to eliminate some of the branches overhanging greenhouse, shed and garage.

Notice of intent to carry out works to trees protected by Tree Preservation Order 69/00 - T1 - Maple: Reduce height to 10m and reduce side spread to 2m round from the main stem to retain overall shape. This is to reduce overhang to road T9 - Birch: Reduce height to 6m and reduce side spread to 2m from the main stem. Thin by 20%. Tree has a bend and this work is to reduce overhang of road and risk of falling T12 - Hornbeam: Reduce height to 12m and reduce side spread to 2m from the main stem. Thin tree 25%. This tree has grown out of proportion to nearby trees and is causing reduced light to neighbouring property T15 - Hornbeam: Reduce height to 12m and reduce side spread to 2m from the main stem. Thin by 25%. This is to reduce the overhang to garage and shed. This tree has had previous damage resulting in part of the main trunk being removed. This is to keep the tree balanced and not overweight

Silver Birch ( T4) - Fell due to: 1) Structural damage to brick wall. This is now beggining to crack despite being built with a plinth over tree roots. 2) Overhanging branches with neighbours garage. 3) Complaints from neighbours regarding the amount of silver birch seeds that are shed during the summer / autumn months and are causing a nuisance when windows are open. We wish to replace the tree by planting a mature sapling next to the silver birch roots. We would welcome the guidance of the tree officer as to the type and size that would be appropriate Yew ( T3) : Reduction of approximately 25% to rebalance the tree following part felling by a neighbour / BT on opposite side. Lime tree ( T2) : to prune back some of the overhanging minor branches at base of the tree. ( Do not own tree as based in hagley community fields.)

Sycamore - 30 percent reduction in the crown so that it stands about 10 metres high by 6 metres diameter. This work has been done 3 times in the past 36 years. The tree has grown out of proportion to its setting and is overshadowing my driveway, the adjacent public pathway and my neighbours garage/cart shed.
