Badger Brook Wood Badger Brook Lane Astwood Bank Worcestershire B96 6EJ
The trees have been marked with yellow paint by the council last year. The dead trees need to be removed and the crowded trees uncrowded. Damaged and leaning trees need some work to make safe. One tree has half fallen in the gales. it is probably going to fall in the garden of No 6 Badger Brook Lane. could fall on the house depending on how it decides to fall. urgent attention needed ! The TPO is out of date as it applies to all the trees in the area. I believe most of my trees do not need a TPO as they are forestry not amenity. They are accessed from a private road have fencing all around the area and a locked gate. Forestry trees are for profit not to look at. The ground is very acidic and nothing will grow under them, unlike natural woodland. The old map of the area clearly shows the difference between woodland and forestry areas.

This work concerns a garden arboretum containing a variety of diverse fir trees notably large sequoia. Applications are put in regularly for permission for care and maintenance of these trees. Three trees, plus a tree by the boundary overlooking the primary school education area, came down in the recent severe (February 2022) storms. Several other very large overlook an adjacent house. The remaining trees have been examined by North Cheshire Forestry and work on repair, trimming, and maintenance and more detailed examination is required urgently. At the same time, analysis is also being arranged with a certified tree health specialist to establish if further work is required as a matter of public safety and tree preservation. Trees will be replanted to replace those felled by the storm. HAR/CA20.

T1 - 1 x Ash - reduce crown by 4-5m overlong branches by 2.5m to reshape to previous size to avoid branches falling on or near the house. T2 - 1 x Ash - re duce crown by 2.5m on height and spread to avoid branches falling in neighbours garden and house. T3 - 1 x Wych Elm - to be felled as affected by Dutch elm disease on advice from Urban Forestry. G1 Monterey Cyprus group - reduce height and shapes to previously pruned level 2.5 - 3m G2 - 1 x Sycamore - reduce to previously pruned points. All works to be undertaken for general tree maintenance and benefit access of light for smaller trees and shrubs below. There is also some concern as some of the trees are close to both The Croft and neighbours from branches falling and in high winds affecting possible damage to either properties.
