I am requesting the removal of 3 trees in my front garden. There are numerous reasons for removal as follows: T1 is causing significant damage to the walls that run behind it and to one side. This wall is supporting the driveway and garage and has several cracks going through the walls and the garage that I believe are caused by the tree. It will need underpinning due to the damage. It is dangerously close to the power lines that run along the front of the house and down the road and has caused a number of power cuts due to this. When it is windy, (very frequently!) especially high winds it is scary and the way they move or appear to be falling frightens my children and if it were to fall it would be directly on the house, garage, cars, power lines. Whichever way it fell it would cause devastating damage and possibly injury. T2: the ash tree is in the front wall to the other side of the garden and has totally cracked the walls it sits in and they are about to fall. I could not fix them without removing the tree. The tree is overtaking the area it already had and sits directly on the power line. It is directly at the front of the house and blocks a lot of light from our windows. It moves vigorously when there are storms and high winds which is a weekly occurrence in Peacehaven causing unnecessary stress on myself and my family/ children as their bedroom windows are directly there. It is causing a problem due to the roots being so close to the house and causing underpinning problems potentially. T3: the Conifer is also causing significant damage to the walls and therefore garage and underpinning. We have had tree experts who have agreed with this and therefore we are currently looking at replanting some new, smaller trees once these are removed. It's a difficult decision to have these taken down but I feel I have a lot of trees in my rear garden and these offer a lot to the environment so losing 3 and replanting would be the best option.

T.P.O. no 2. 1973 & no 4. 1964 - T1) Cherry Plum tree located to the left front of the property towards the rear garden area, to reduce by 30% and to shape back all round. T2) To reduce the Pyracantha to the corner of the property, reducing to its previous cutting. T3) Dogwood to the left of pine, to cut down to near ground level. T4) Beech tree nearest to the neighbours property, lifting the low growth to 4m over the shrubbery. T5) Yew tree to reduce in the outer canopy all round and oval top edge as required. T6) Cotoneaster, to remove the larger stems leaving the younger growth reducing by 20% and tidy. T8) Yew tree to the rear end of the property, to re-shape back the outer growth all round and top. T9) Liquid Amber adjacent the house, reducing to previous and shaping back from the windows. T10) Bay tree to the rear of the garage, reduce to its previous and re-shape as required. T11) Holly tree to the side of the barn, to reduce back the growth producing a gap between the roof and the tree. T13) Ash saplings located to the field side of the barn, cutting back the sapling to approximately 5ft (previous).

Scots Pine T1 - TPO 16/02 Requesting to fell T1. T1 is approximately 50 feet tall, and located within a private garden on top of a 2.5m high bank, T1 is still growing and if the tree were to fall it would fall towards our house and garage causing severe / catastrophic damage to our house and our neighbours. T1 also has Ivy over half of T1, which could be weakening the integrity of the structure of the tree. The majority of the branches overhang the garden towards the house, as Scot Pine needles are toxic, this is also causing severe damage and killing a large area of grass. This is a new build house, the garden was dug up and the bank the tree is situated on was altered and dug up by excavators whilst removing other trees and gorse, I have spoken to a tree surgeon that has informed me that if the root structure was damaged or compromised at any point by the excavators digging or driving over the roots, this may not cause immediate issues but as the tree grows in height and weight it will become unstable and fall. Since the tree has been pollenating I have noticed that my daughter has been suffering from an allergy and causing her to cough, so I am unable to open her bedroom window as this is located at the back on the house. Behind our property is a conservation area with a large number of established trees, which surrounds the property, our house is situated at the end of the development, where there is a number of established trees next to T1, T1 is not a focal point of the area, and will not change the characteristics of the development if it were to be removed.
