Three Rivers Business Centre Felixstowe Road Foxhall Suffolk
Erection of 3 no. office units with a Class E (g)(i) use class. that development achieves a high-quality design, which is responsive and sympathetic to its surroundings. The existing units on site adopt a traditional agricultural barn vernacular utilising red brick and weatherboarded elevations with pantile roof. The proposed units would be of a similar form, scale and appearance of the existing units, specifically the units to the south of the site, but the proposed units would incorporate rooflights to enable floor space to be accommodated within the roof. The proposed units would utilise an area vacant maintained land, adjoining the existing business units. The of site is of a significant size to accommodate the proposed building and associated parking without it appearing cramped or contrived. By way of location and form, the proposed development would not detrimentally affect the wider landscape.

Change of use for the specified site from agricultural land in order to start a glamping site consisting of five self-catering cabins and a toilet/shower block; it is intended to be occupied by a maximum of 20 holidaymakers at any one time, between April and September. I am hoping to appeal to holidaymakers who want to have a low carbon foot print on holiday. The cabins will not be connected to any services: drainage, electricity or water and will have minimal lighting, powered by solar panel. The footings will be groundscrews which involve no digging or concreting and can be removed literally without trace. They will have no internal cooking or washing facilities: I will supply a barbecue or camping stove outside the cabin for food preparation as for camping in a tent. They will be used solely for holiday accommodation between the months of April and September. There will be two compost toilets and two shower cubicles connected to an existing mains water supply. Greywater will be discharged to a reed bed for filtration then to a soakaway. Water will be heated by a solar thermal panel installed on the roof of the shower block.

Following our recent purchase of 2 acres of land adjacent to our house, we would like to apply to change the use of the land from agricultural to equestrian. A site plan has been attached. We have submitted an application to Suffolk PROW to install a bridleway gate on Bridleway 48 to enclose the grazing horses. We would also like to apply for permission to construct 2 outbuildings in our garden comprising garaging and tractor store (outbuilding 1) and tack & hay store and horse trailer storage (outbuilding 2). Please see enclosed scaled drawings. The buildings will be single-storey, constructed using a traditional timber frame. They will have a plinth of Suffolk brick and be clad in locally-sourced timber. The roof will be lightweight black metal. We have taken care to design a building in keeping with others in the local area. Please see supporting evidence. The buildings comply with the requirement to be 1.8m from the oil tank.
