Make good front & side (south) external elevation replacing existing concrete render with more suitable breathable lime render allowing the concealed historic timber frame to dry out and breath. C/2. The top section to the front (east) and side gable (south) have applied timbers, with a rough cast concrete render between. Refurbish the timbers, like for like, undertaking any necessary repairs and replacing the render between with a breathable render identically matching the existing textured finish. If not possible in lime, a smooth finished render to match south gable to prevent rotting off historic timbers beneath. E. North gable wall, to remove several bricks and carry out a video inspection to ascertain condition of the internal timbers, and if necessary put in a series of air bricks (clay brick vent or metal) to improve ventilation between external brick and internal timber frame wall. F. Refurbish roof, applying modern breathable roof insulation to exterior face of rafters of thickness to ensure roof line remains unchanged whilst improving thermal capacity if, and were necessary.
