This proposal is for the construction of a 29.8m2 outbuilding (workshop) with shower room at the land rear of 8 Parkgate Road, Reigate, RH2 7JD. The outbuilding will be constructed on an insulated concrete slab foundation. There is a natural fall in the land from East to West of 300mm, the slab foundation will be constructed with a 300mm retaining wall on the East side to compensate for the fall. The outbuilding will be within 2 meters of neighbouring boundaries and the total height of the outbuilding will be within permitted development at 2,480mm when measured from the highest ground level on the East side (with the East wall of the outbuilding being constructed against the retaining wall). The rainwater from the building will be collected with a 300l water butt and used for watering the garden. The shower room/toilet waste will be pumped to main house pipe using a macerator pump and connecting pipe.
