1 Replace angle ridge roof tiles with decorative club-crested ridge tiles (Dreadnought, colour matched with existing tiles and neighboring property). 2 Repointing of masonry at rear of property with colour matched lime mortar. Removal of existing roofing tiles to No 13 & No 15 The Square, Feckenham, Redditch. Treatment of existing timbers for woodworm & pests. Fit breathable roofing felt, tiling batten & refit existing plain & machine made tiles where serviceable/good & make-up with mixed reclaimed tiles of similar size and colours to maintain existing aged visual appearance & which match to adjacent adjoining properties. (Photographs attached). Re-point & make good chimneys to blend to existing aged appearance. Treat & repair existing timbers, dormer constructions & wall-plates as necessary during proposed works, retaining maximum existing material, aged appearance and matching as appropriate. The roofs of 13 & 15 The Square have degenerated over many years. Tile slippage & degradation has created roof leaks which now risk damage to original timbers, renders & bricks, as well as internal decorations and goods. Many existing tiles have degraded through natural weathering over the years, the location nibs of many tiles have been removed through normal abrasion caused by movement & weathering. Supporting tile laths have also degraded causing sagging and tile slippage. Local patching is therefore now longer viable. Blank off the rear kitchen chimney which is no longer in use. Add cowls to the open chimneys of both properties.
