External and internal alterations to 5 Snow Hill together with demolition and new build associated with the change of use of a police station to a hotel with ancillary uses including: (i) refurbishment of facade to Snow Hill and the retained facade to Cock Lane; (ii) partial demolition, rebuilding and extension to provide a building ranging from 6 to 8 storeys, plus new plant at roof level; (iii) extension of existing sub-basement; and other ancillary works. (Amendment to scheme approved under 20/00933/LBC, for design amendments including the retention of existing western boundary wall, set back of the upper levels of the west elevation and atrium, and reduction of the footprint of the Snow Hill mansard roof, together with associated changes including to greening, modification to plant layout on the seventh floor, and realignment of windows on the east and south elevations).

Internal and external works comprising of: (i) the removal of the basement toilet block and reinstatement of the courtyard; (ii) the removal of the ground floor toilet block; (iii) the installation of an external staircase connecting to the basement courtyard; (iv) removal of ground floor bay window and reinstatement of sash window; (v) repair and reinstatement of historic features; (vi) removal of modern windows and replacement with sash and casement windows; (vii) removal of modern kitchen and sanitary fittings, joinery, services and partitions and replacement with upgraded layouts and services; (vii) removal of partitions at entrance and first and second floors; (ix) installation of exterior plant at roof level; (x replacement of existing roof lantern with double glazed lantern unit; (xi) the installation of insulation to roofs; (xii) repair and replacement of damaged slates to pitched roofs and replacement of asphalt coverings on flat roofs; (xiii) installation of new metal balustrade at roof level; (xiv) installation of a flag pole on the front elevation; and (xv) the provision of cycle parking, (xvi) the installation of an entrance door in the front elevation at lower ground floor level; (xvii) the removal of the pitched roof and replacement with flat roof to the rear. *RE CONSULTATION DUE TO REVISED PLANS AND DESCRIPTION*

Replacement of existing chiller units on the North Wing roof including associated pipework, ducting and fixings.

Retention of an electric fan [500mm wide x 680mm long and 750mm high] at roof level.

Refurbishment and extension of the building to create additional floorspace with roof terrace for Class E use; erection of a pavilion structure at roof level; installation of new terrace areas with associated landscaping and balustrades; extension of existing plant enclosure; installation of plant equipment and kitchen extract duct; alterations to facade, including works to clock face on Fleet Street, and at ground floor level; alterations and extension to existing windows and vitrines; internal alterations to the ground floor lobby and interiors, and internal works to sixth floor heritage rooms; reinstatement of carriageway connections; provision of new ancillary facilities and other associated works.

External refurbishment of the fifth-floor roof terrace comprising: (i) replacement of existing sash window with new exterior double doors to open onto the terrace; and (ii) replacement of existing secondary glazing with a matching internal set of secondary glazed double doors.

Alterations to the basement, ground and mezzanine floor including; (i) lowering of mezzanine floor, (ii) alterations to shopfront, (ii) Existing unusable stair replaced with new stair connecting ground and mezzanine, (iii) roof alterations to the rear to include patent glazed rooflights and (iv) basement ceiling lined for fire protection.
