Listed Building consent - I'm looking to do some work on the exterior of my house. The work includes: Removing plaster on the front external wall (existing), Reintroduce the savolit boards fixed to timber studs), Apply two coats of lime plaster to give the same effect as what's there, The first coat will be thermalime The top coat is fibre chalk (both supplied by Anglia Lime co.) Paint (lime wash/approved colour), The intention is for the exterior wall to look exactly as it is (except the paint colour - which I'll seek approval for). Repair of windows on the front elevation.

Listed Building Consent: It is proposed to install swift nest boxes on the North facing facade of St Marys House. There will be 16 units in 3 terraces, each unit between a pair of windows. They will fit closely under the eaves be attached to the soffits and painted to match the rendering. The boxes will be in line with the tops of the windows and create a smooth outline following the line of the gutters. The impact of the nest boxes on the building and its appearance should be minimal and reversible with no structural change to the building.

Listed Building Consent - Extend existing lean-to kitchen to create a boiler house. Remove internal partition walls. Repairs to external windows and door.

Listed Building Consent - Replacement of pebble dash / render: It is intended to replace the existing failing pebbledash render with a smooth lime-based render as recommended in the pre-application advice, rather than a cement render, to allow the building to breathe, and this would look almost identical to the render replacement done on East Lodge, Melton. Alterations to entrance lobby: The proposed design includes a flat roof with a brick parapet detail which corresponds with the existing brick string course. The replacement door will be in a similar style to the existing front door with a glazed panel and the existing small side windows are to be removed. Reclaimed bricks would be used to ensure the new entrance compliments the existing house. The door would become a standard 2m door (instead of the 1.8m door which is currently there). Alterations to bathroom roof: Previous advice supported the principle of replacement of the roof as this appears to be a more modern addition and therefore unlikely to affect any historic fabric. It was also noted that the existing lower roofline to the bathroom reduces the visual impact of this element on the rest of the building and any raising of the roofline needs to be carefully designed to avoid a negative visual impact. The current proposal is to push the roof of the bathroom up by approximately 450mm (or less if an acceptable roof build up can be found). To the South East side a timber facia plate would be added to match the existing house. To the South West a gutter would run along the flat roof and connect into the existing gutter. This will allow the owner of the house to stand up in the shower (something he is currently unable to do).

Listed Building Consent - Reinstatement to the rear outbuildings to the main house. Including raising the eaves level of the higher lean-to roof and the addition of a skylight. The rebuilding of the gable wall to the kitchen outbuilding and the inclusion of a new kitchen window.
