I would like to have the canopy of a plum tree that is growing close to the house thinned by around 30%, and also reduced by around 2m from the top and 1m from the sides. The previous owners of the property had not maintained the tree, which means that the branches are starting to grow too close to the house, and the foliage is blocking out light, both to the house and also preventing other plants from growing near by.

1) Silver Birch in the garden at the back of the house. Request to trim the branches to reduce the weight as there is a large split in the trunk of the tree. There is also excessive shading of the neighbours garden. If possible can I trim the silver birch at the same time as the Ash tree - application submitted previously in Feb 2021.

On 6 March 2019 Ealing Council permitted me to contract a specialist to trim 6 trees and remove 1 tree. These works were carried out immediately on receipt of consent. I now wish to reduce the current tree canopy of the 6 remaining trees to the previous pruning point as undertaken by the tree contractor 2 years ago and as approved by you in that letter dated 6 March 2019. I attach a plan showing the location of the trees - 5 in the back garden and 1 in the front garden. The Leylandi (T1-4) have grown back very quickly and are encroaching on the patio and house.

1 Ash Tree see pictures Request to remove the ash tree as the tree is in close proximity to the house, approximately 7ft from the front wall. The roots of the tree can be seen where they disappear under the house or very close to it. There are signs of slow cracks in the concrete at the front door. These were small hairline cracks in June 2020 when the pictures were taken. . This can be seen in the picture. In addition, One large branch has grown over the roof of the houses (including No3) and when the leaves grow they are sitting on the roof.
