Multi-stem hazel- removal abutting shared boundary wall to the north of the applicants property. The tree was previously given permission in 2022 to reduce in size by 30% but upon review it was considered to be excessive in size generally and looks to be contributing to the undermining of the shared boundary wall which is leaning significantly towards the neighbours property. Proposal to fell to ground level and remove stump and roots as agreed with arborist and structural engineers.

Reason: This tree was planeted by the current owners many years ago and is now causing cracks to an adjoining boundary wall. Works to trees in a conservation area: T1 - XL Weeping Willow tree. This tree is very dominating and has significant amount of additional lateral branches growing towards the house. Pollard to previous points and remove lower lateral limbs growing towards the house. Apply for tree works every 2 years under a 6 year cycle. T2 - Medium Magnolia tree in front garden, tree is dominating light, but is not symmetrical due to other trees adjacent and light suppression. Remove dog leg branch and lateral branch at rear. T3 - Medium Holm Oak tree. This has grown significantly in the front garden and causing excessive shade. Section fell to ground level and poison stump. T4 - Medium Elderflower tree. Tree has fallen down. Remove. T6 - Neighbours? Conifer tree on RHS, reduce to original boundary line.

The tree is in poor condition. Replacement tree to be planted by the owner. T2-T5: A group of Ash trees. Deadwood Removal. (Exempt works)

Works to a tree in a conservation area: Cherry tree (approx 5m high), on boundary of rear garden. Shallow roots are increasingly causing dislocation of nearby brick paving, creating dangerous trip hazard for elderly owners. Proposal is to fell tree and grub out roots. No replacement proposed, as several other mature trees nearby.
