Works to be carried out include: > Thin upper canopy by removing no more than 20% foliage area from each stem pruned, retaining the height and spread of the tree at its current dimensions. Thinning to be in the form of even removal of 3-4m branch sections for upper 6m of canopy only, making pruning cuts 50-75mm in diameter. > Remove all dead wood 50mm in diameter and greater. > Install a three-way static brace with a minimum breaking load of 10,000 kg, near to or just above existing brace. Each point of attachment to be placed on outermost stems, one to the west and two the east of the tree. > Complete removal of Holly (T2)
