Garden Cottage Upper Street Tingewick Buckinghamshire MK18 4QL

The tree in question is a silver birch. The tree is now between 15 and 20m tall, located in the middle of the garden. It presents a danger to the house (which is less than 15m away). It also prevents our plans for solar panels on the south facing garage roof to the rear (subject to heritage permission as we are a grade II listed building), and it is far too large for the location it currently occupies. When planted, the tree was at the end of the garden (hence the boundary of the conservation area was set at the end of the original garden. Since then however the garden has been extended, and the tree has grown to a height out of proportion with its location in the garden. Our plan is to replace this tree with two much smaller ornamental cherry trees, which will be kept at the same height as the apple trees on the other side of the path (see photo 3) around 3-5 meters high. We will take down the tree, and use the majority of the canopy for mulch within our garden. Once the root is ground out the new trees will be planted. We have taken advice from Nick Hanks at Greensleeves Estate and Countryside management who has done work on the tree in the past, but taking height out of the tree will leave it misshapen, as its not a species that responds well to having the canopy reduced, and as we would like to fit solar panels over the next couple of years, this work would be a precursor to any solar work being successful. The work to remove the tree will be done by Greensleeves and the timing of the work also agreed with Greensleeves to avoid any sensitive times of year, particularly nesting season.

1.Front Garden,Side Adjoining 53 Russell Rd Sycamore tree have overgrown 100% far higher than the house structure. We propose removing all dead wood and trimming the overall height to 30-50% along this boundary line to restore safe distance from the house and remove risk of falling branches in 53 RS driveway. The trees will be shaped with the sycamore higher than the conifers but allow the conifers to grow back and allow sun on the grass. 2.Front Garden,Side Adjoining 53 Russell Rd - Illustrates fallen dead branches which hit the roof and wall structure. 3.Front Garden,Side Adjoining 53 Russell Rd 4.Front Garden,Side Adjoining 53 Russell Rd 5.Front Garden,Side Adjoining 53 Russell Rd Image 3, 4 and 5 Illustrates fallen dead branches covering the ground. All to be cleared. 6.Front Garden,Side Adjoining 53 Russell Rd 7.Rear Garden,Side Adjoining 53 Russell Rd Illustrates dying conifers. 8.Front Garden,Side Adjoining 49 Russell Rd Multiple trees have grown 100%, dead wood branches have fallen on the garage roof structure causing damage and leakage. We propose trimming a shaping to allow 30 -50% reduction 9.Rear Garden Conifer has completely died and needs removing. 10.Rear Garden,Side - Adjoining 49-53 Russell Rd 11.Rear Garden/Side - Adjoining 49-53 Russell Rd12.Rear Garden/,Side - Adjoining 49-53 Russell Rd 2 large Oak trees on either side have multiple dead branches and low branches, which have fallen during medium high winds. A large willow tree stood between these trees but collapsed 2 years ago. The willow tree impacted the growth of the oaks, causing an imbalance in growth, with the trees leaning to one side.We propose removing all dead wood, low branches and trimming slightly to rebalance. 13.Rear Garden Dead apple tree to be removed 14.Rear Garden Dead falling pear tree to be removed. 15.Rear Garden Fallen oak branch with garden waste to be removed.

Garfield Church Lane Oving Buckinghamshire HP22 4HL

T1 Corsican Pine - Prune overhanging growth to Garfield boundary line. Full height of tree T2 Cypress - Prune overhanging growth to Garfield boundary line. Full height of tree T3 Cherry - Prune overhanging growth to Garfield boundary line. This tree is encroaching over and impacts on the house. Full height of tree T4 Goat Willow - Fell to ground and grind stump. This substantial tree straddles the boundary line of both properties, with the trunk and root structure now within 2 feet of both properties, and height exceeding roof level. It is at risk of causing damage to both properties, and is already pushing against our neighbours outbuilding. It further prevents fencing being erected to define property boundaries, and our side access gate from opening and closing. Both parties have agreed to its removal.

1. Large fir trees along boundary to business park drive (coloured blue on sketch). These are part of a double row - the other half is owned by the business park and the trees were reduced in height around 2 years ago. Following last years' storms two trees on the other side of our boundary fell and we should like to reduce the 14 on our side by approximately half their height (still leaving them around 15 ft tall, to prevent risk of breakage in high winds in future and also to improve lighting to our property 2. Fir trees coloured green on sketch and leylandii (not coloured but running in line to garage). These were reduced in height two years ago but only by a small amount. High winds last year created some damage with falling branches breaking fences on both sides and we are concerned that future storms may bring whole trees down. In addition, the owners of the business park say that the branches on their side are potentially causing damage to vehicles parked there. We propose to reduce height by 15-20 ft (the trees are around 45ft high) and also to reduce thickness of growth on the far side. 3. Poplar trees coloured in dark blue. These were reduced two years ago but the contractors did not remove as much as requested (or granted) at the time and we are still concerned by the prospect of trees falling in high winds. We should like to do additional work , reducing height to just below the level of the roof of the main house 4. Mulberry Tree (coloured pink) -to reduce it in height by probably 2-3m so that it is slightly higher than what is left of the firs behind, allowing it some additional light. 5. Eucalyptus tree (purple) - lost some high branches in high winds - to be reduced and re-shaped for safety (about 10ft removed, leaving it at around 20ft high) 6. Fir tree at edge of garden (yellow). The reduction would be approx. 4m, in line with the above, potentially with up to 15% thinning of the lower
