Trees in a conservation area notification: Purple Plum - (T1) - Cut back crown to stone wall to allow clearance of footpath, Conifer - (T2) - Reduce in height by 4m due to the tree causing shading, Ginkgo - (T3) - Reduce crown by 2-3m due tree touching the residential building and overhanging church, Maple - (T4) - Reduce crown by 5-6m in height and 3-4m in lateral spread due to limb failure.

To reduce height and shape of oak tree by 2.5-3 metres The tree is in a relatively small residential garden less than 10 metres from the property. The tree canopy is hanging over the side of neighbouring garden and the oak and tree on neigbouring property are intertwined. We would like to manage the size of the tree by reducing the overall canopy size. The advice is to seek to reduce the canopy size of the tree to a managable size within the garden of the property.

T1 - Upright Cherry: Reduce height by 1.5m. Reduce from neighbouring property to give 1m clearance then reduce on all aspects to balance shape. T2 - Upright Cherry: Reduce height by 1m and lateral crown spread max 0.5m to balance crown shape. T3 - Japanese Flowering Cherry: Reduce crown to previous (outermost) pruning points removing 1 to 2m branch length to clear building & balance crown shape. T6 - Wild Cherry: Reduce height & lateral crown spread by up to 1.5m. T9 - Yew: Reduce crown to previous (outermost) pruning points removing approximately 1m branch length. Proposed works are general arboricultural management to maintain trees at appropriate size considering the juxtaposition with the adjacent residential properties and public footway.

(T1) Hornbeam - crown thin whole tree by 15% growing with close proximity to multi-storey, residential property and building of no: 44, to improve light levels, also to the surrounding shrubs and border. (T2) Pittosporum (2), Escallonia, Creeper - lightly prune shrubs by varying lengths up to 2.0 metres to improve definition of individual specimens. (T3) Cotoneaster - shorten branches overhanging driveway that exceed the shrubs main profile by 1.0 - 2.0 metres, shortening 2 branches growing over adjacent Fuchsia a further 1.0 metre to increase the shrubs and borders space and light. (T4) & (T5) Hawthorn (2) - reshape whole crown of both trees by 1.0 - 1.5 metres to reduce encroachment into Hornbeam growing from opposite side of the driveway. (T6) Birch - crown lift trees small diameter (10mm) pendulous branches overhanging the driveway entrance and road to give clearance of footway and road to approximately 3.0 metres.

Client kindly requests the following works: T1 Poplar Fell to ground level The large poplar is situated with a public footpath running directly underneath and 3 listed buildings within striking distance. Client is extremely concerned because the tree has lost several 20ft long large limbs in recent storms. The resident's are suffering with huge anxiety regarding safety. Request: Fell T2 Lime Crown Reduction - reduce height and spread of the tree by upto 3m, with a maximum final cut diameter of 80mm. Positioned closely to the boundary of PRoW. Lime dominates the small garden it is located in and client would like it to be contained. T3 Willow: Top to 2 feet below lowest woodpecker hole, Making new Pollard at 6 m Tree has not been managed and has become very large for its position. T4 Willow Make new Pollard @ 4 metres from ground level Extra notes: Client has advised - both the Poplar & Lime are positioned in a very small residential garden in relation to their tree size. Furthermore, the neighboring willow trees are very closely located/compacted with the Lime and Poplar - the client can only just walk between the two trunks due to close proximity.
