4 large Conifer trees labelled 1-4 on the sketch plan. The plan is to remove them down to ground level . They are blocking significant amounts of light and are disrupting the driveway of Andway Cottage, two nearby fences and the shed of 3 Paynes Meadow. They appear to be the only conifer trees on 3 Paynes Meadow and Andway Cottage properties; other trees nearby on Pyotts Hill all appear to be deciduous so they seem out of place in comparison. See conifer tree photos document. 1 Hazel tree (tree 5) & 4 Beech trees - labelled 6-9 on the sketch plan. The plan is to remove them down to ground level. They are very close to the house, less than a meter, and are blocking significant amounts of light and overhanging the roof of Andway Cottage contributing to moss growth on the roof and blocked gutters. T1 Tamarisk - Remove two large branches one over rear garden fence the other resting on neighbour shed roof as concerned that they could cause damage if they break.

This application is for ONGOING CONSENT to the trees listed below T1- Twisted Willow. Pollard annually (or bi-annually depending on annual rate of growth) down to a height of between 4 and 5 feet. This work will manage the size and retain the ornamental value/feature of the twisted branches. T2- Plum tree. T6a and T6b - 2 Yew trees planted & trained to form an arch, height and width reduction on an annual basis. T 7 and T8 - 2 small Apple trees fan trained. Need annual pruning to retain shape, size and ensure fruit production. T9 and T10- 2 Sycamore trees in 78 Station Road up against the boundary fence. 2 years ago these trees were reduced significantly by the tree owners. In the 2 years since pruning re-growth has been rapid from the main trunk. These hang over into 86 Station Road, significantly reducing sunlight reaching the established fruit and vegetable beds in 86 Station Road reducing productivity. The branches will soon be over/touching/leaning onto the roof of the potting shed in 86 Station Road and could damage the roof. This application is for annual (or bi-annual depending on the rate of growth) removal of re-growth (to the boundary) coming from the main trunk up to a height of approx 10 feet from ground level

1.Mixed group - Fell large Conifer, reduce large Holly to a height of 3m, reduce all remaining woody shrubs to height of 3m and trim sides to shape/re-establish group boundary 2. Willow - Remove large bows overhanging the shed, crown reduce and reshape the reminder of the tree by 3m to shape. Remove several low secondary stems which are damaging the boundary fence 8. Elder - Pollard at a height of 3m

T4 Hazel - Thin crown by removing the 10% largest stems. T5 Apple - Fell tree. TG6 - 1 x Laurel, 5 x Holly and 1x Sycamore group (smaller trees along fence line at boundary) - Fell trees. T7 Ash - Prune back by 4m from height and 1m from lateral limbs. T8 Ash - Prune back by 4m from height and 1m from lateral limbs. T9 Maple (Norway) - Prune back by 3m from height and 1-2m from lateral limbs. T10 Maple (Norway) - Prune back by 3m from height and 1-2m from lateral limbs. T11 Sycamore - Fell tree. T12 Yew - Prune back to boundary line to stop contact with shed roof.

T1 Apple General Prune - crown reduce height by 2.5m to create round shape. Remove any crossing branches. T2: Eucalyptus Remove low hanging branch back to source. Remove low branch over fence and remove one low limb over the garden. The remainder of the tree to be reduced by 5m shaping and balancing the crown. Tree has become very large and dominating in the garden. T3 Weeping Willow: Raise crown up to roof of shed. Side back from neighbouring property.

T2 - Dead Cherry - dismantle and remove, leaving stump at fence height T3 - Yew - low canopy encroaching on seating area and play area remove lowest 0.5 - 1 m of branches and reduce remaining low canopy to allow more light and space, reduce by 0.5 - 1 metres T4 - Ash - low canopy encroaching on play area, remove lowest two branches to allow more light and space T5 - Line of several Yew - low canopy encroaching on play area and sitting on play equipment roof remove lower branches and reduce remaining canopy back in line with old log edge T6 - Ash - reduce large forward limb by 1.5 to 2 m and canopy over sand pit area by 1-1.5 m to allow more light and space in area T7 - Magnolia - large spreading canopy encroaching on seating area and play area, reduce canopy by thinning out larger branches, to leave a smaller, more open, but still natural looking canopy - thin by 25%, aiming for 1-2 m overall reduction T8 - Cherry - remove deadwood over 50mm diamter T9 - Three stem Pear - remove lower limbs sitting on fence / neighbours sheds T10 - Ash - Remove two large limbs growing over neighbours garden / sheds and remove several significant dead limbs T11 - Ash - low canopy encroaching on play area remove 5 lower branches over play area T12 - Conifer - smaller co dominant stem is dead - remove The Landlord is carrying out works for safety reasons (appreciate the dead wood / dead tree removal does not require the full notice), and to open up the garden area to allow for social distancing. Planning to be able to open on 4th July and would be keen to get the works done asap.
