1A Ship Street Gardens Brighton Brighton & Hove BN1 1AJ

Felling of the trunk of a Fig tree that is diseased with Root Knot Nematode. The Fig tree trunk leans very close the the boundary wall and has branches that extend across and over the boundary wall. The tree has caused many cracks in this wall resulting in the lifting of several garden stones. I am concerned over the house foundations being safe and the sewer than runs directly underneath may become blockaged as their roots are likely to get into them . The Fig lost one of its main limbs last year due to this disease and has more weight on one side than the other making it more susceptible to falling which could cause harm or damage if it were to fall. I have been advise by a tree surgeon that it would be best to cut the tree down and replant a new Fig sapling in a better location.

6 Montpelier Villas Brighton Brighton & Hove BN1 3DH

T1 is a bay tree in the rear garden of number 6 Montpelier villas. Bn1 3DH. The tree is near the property on southern boundary. The works are to maintain the tree at a suitable size and height for its location. This will improve the sunlight to the rear garden which is currently being blocked and affecting the reasonable enjoyment and use if the garden area during the summer months. The works will not be detrimental, nor will it affect the trees amenity value. Rear Garden by House T1 - Bay Fell as close to ground level as possible. Stump of above Apply systemic herbicide to stump to prevent re-growth.

T1 - Pear Tree - 1m from kitchen door to be felled and roots ground out. The fruit falls on the decking which is a slip hazard. They also attract wasps. We have a young child and want the garden to be safe for him to play in. The tree is also too close to the house, its roots could damage the foundations and its trunk interupts and dominates the layout of the patio, thus it will not be repalced. T2 - Pear Tree - middle of the garden - to be felled. Fruit attracts wasps. The tree looks relay unhealthy and unsightly and will be replaced with a yet to be decided blossoming tree. T3- Bay Tree - Fell - close to southern boundary 2m from house. To allow for redesign of safe patio described for T1. A yet to be decided smaller tree will be planted at the rear boundary on the garden instead. T4 - Small Holly Tree - Fell - close to northern boundary. Thorny leaves unsafe for a child. North boundary is a hedge, tree removal will leave a small gap which will be filled with an appropriate bush. T5 - Holly Tree - Fell and grind out roots - close to southern boundary. Thorny leaves unsafe for child. The self set tree is overgrown, bocks light to rear garden which is consequently bare. Felled to allow flower and shrub planting at rear garden. No replacement. T6 - Fir Tree - trimmed back to boundary to allow light to penetrate the rear garden. Our neighbour is aware of this application and has given permission. T7 - Sycamore - Rear of garden - crown reduction by 30% and aesthetic shaping. The tree is overgrown and has not been pruned for years.

The work would be the removal of the crabapple tree to due the very close proximity to the boundary wall and to the house. The tree has caused many cracks in the wall and lifting of severalgarden stones. I am concerned over the house foundations being safe and the sewer than runs directly underneath may become blockaged as their roots are likely to get into them . . The tree is leaning into my neighbour's garden, it has more weight on one side than the other making it more susceptible to falling which could cause harm or damage if it were to fall. Dead branches snap and fall off frequently as it has been diagnosed with a fungal infection or a virus. There are often growths that I remove that resemble mushrooms which is a sign that the tree is infected and dying. I have been advise by a tree surgeon that it would be best to cut the tree down and replant a new sapling in a better location.

T1 - Ash - Fell because of excessive height, instability and damage to boundary wall, Ash Dieback Disease and it compromises building insurance due to proximity to bulding. Cannot replant sue to proximity to the house. We have had advise from oliver at newleaftreesurgery.co.uk who noted that pruning the tree would not mitigate the growth of the trunk which is pushing down the boundary wall and causing a potential hazards to neighbours steps. T2 - Sycanmore - Fell because of excessive shading to this and three neighbours gardens. Nuisance to neighbours due to leaf fall. Replant with small silver birch tree in the same position.

ALL ITEMS EXCEPT THE STUMP GRINDING INCLUDE REMOVAL OF ARISING DEBRIS AND LEAVING SITE CLEAN AND TIDY.

Eucalyptus Tree. It has been identified as being too close to the house and drains. It is also right next to neighbouring property boundary. A survey on the house taken out when we purchased it last year highlighted it. It looks overly tall. We would like to plant a tree tbc in a better position further from the house.

The tree in question is a fruit tree around 4m tall, it is not subject to a TPO. My client wishes to remove the tree as it is inappropriatley planted within an extremely small courtyard. It has been planted within a planted right up next to the garden boundary wall. It is far too close to the wall and the house and we fear that it will cause damage to both, as well as to below ground pipework, by the roots. Fruit is frequently falling to the ground which causes a mess and the space is so small that one cannot avoid walking over it. The tree also causes shading to an already shady courtyard and the rooms off it.
