Confirmation is sought of our understanding that we can remove hedgerow of private dwelling house. Hedgerow provides boundary to property and severely obstructs view of road when exiting property. We have experienced several close misses to passing traffic when leaving driveway to join main road. Rear boundary hedgerow has been left uncut for many years and is now woody and unkempt and we would like to replace this with water loving trees due to a nearby water drainage channel. Although I have selected the hedgerow is older than 30 years, I do not know the age of it.
