Certificate of lawfulness for the proposed loft conversion including installation of 1No crown roof dormer to the rear elevation & 3No roof-lights to the front elevation, to form additional habitable space.

? T1 (apple tree): Crown thin and reshape crown, removing watershoots (see photo attached) as part of routine maintenance and to keep the fruit within reach ? T2 (crab apple): Crown reduction/reshape to crab apple (see photo) as part of routine maintenance and to keep the fruit within reach ? T3: (cherry tree): Remove crown of cherry tree to just above main union (see photo) in order to cause epicormic regrowth in the lower stem with the aim of making use of the fruit (which is currently out of reach) ? T4 & T5 (greengage): Reduce height of 2x greengage by 1-2m (see photo) as part of routine maintenance to maintain at manageable height ? G6 (hazel): Coppice approximately 20 hazel stools scattered around the property to roughly 30cm above ground level ? T7 (holly): Reduce height of holly tree by approximately 2m and trim remainder into rounded shape as part of routine maintenance to reduce overhang over the roof of the outbuilding In addition we also wish to trim hedges at the property, and sever the ivy at the base of the trees worked on.

Large Sycamore: lift low canopy overhanging rear garden of neighbouring property to approx 5m and lift over roof to give an approx 2m cleararnce pruning back to suitable growth points. Secondary branches only up to approx 10cm dia. No large limbs to be removed.

4 large Conifer trees labelled 1-4 on the sketch plan. The plan is to remove them down to ground level . They are blocking significant amounts of light and are disrupting the driveway of Andway Cottage, two nearby fences and the shed of 3 Paynes Meadow. They appear to be the only conifer trees on 3 Paynes Meadow and Andway Cottage properties; other trees nearby on Pyotts Hill all appear to be deciduous so they seem out of place in comparison. See conifer tree photos document. 1 Hazel tree (tree 5) & 4 Beech trees - labelled 6-9 on the sketch plan. The plan is to remove them down to ground level. They are very close to the house, less than a meter, and are blocking significant amounts of light and overhanging the roof of Andway Cottage contributing to moss growth on the roof and blocked gutters. T1 Ash - Fell as Self seeded growing between boundary wall and building scratching windowed, roof and brickwork of number 3 and neighbouring property 6 Winchester Street. Starting to grow into wall, likely to push wall over with time.

Cherry tree: cut back branches away from garage roof. Approved works The tree is to be lifted over the garage to stop the branches hitting the garage roof, dealing with the issue now so that no damage occurs in the future.

G1 - Cut back Ivy and vegetation growing g alone boundary wall from neighbouring property. Strim weeds in front of wall adjacent to private property (exempt). T1 - Crown lift lime tree overhanging g neighbours drive to 4m about e wall and balance tree. T2 - Yew tree behind main building, prune back 1.5m from roof and crown lift to 3.5m to remove low branches

T1 Silver birch: Lift low branches from one Silver Birch to rear corner of house to give 1.5 m clearance from roof. T2 Copper beech: Lift branches from one Copper Beach to give 1.5m clearance from house roof.

Willow T1 & T2. Pollard to approximately 3 metres to avoid damage to roof, avoid root upheaval and ease ongoing maintenance.

Lift the canopy of the Ash over the roof of the Cottage and the greenhouse. The removal of sub-branches will be above the chimney area on the roof and again over the greenhouse to give a 2m clearance in both instances.
