Installation of 8.3m wind turbine Details of the Wind Turbine are attached to the application. This installation serves two purposes. (1) To monitor the performance of this turbine as research and development into the power output of the turbine versus wind-speed - Technica have an exclusivity agreement with the US based manufacturer to sell and install these turbines across the UK. Note that this will be the first turbine of its type in the UK and is therefore newsworthy. This will play a small part in the reduction of the overall carbon foot print for the company. (3) The installation will be used for business development purposes i.e. to display to potential clients. Additional sales of these turbines will produce jobs for the region in terms of people required to assemble the turbine and install them on site. Note that the turbine was part funded by the LEP through regional growth funding.
