TW/20/2605 | Tree Works in a Conservation Area

The Orchard 39 New Road Blakeney Holt Norfolk NR25 7PA

To coppice a group of elm trees to a height of 2 to 3 feet. 2) All of the following trees are rooted in the grounds of Blakeney House, High Street Blakeney.? They all overhang the eastern boundary of 39 New Road.? Listing the trees from the north end of this boundary they are: behind the garage, sycamore (E1), behind the house, sycamore (E2), horse chestnut (E3), sycamore (E4), ash (E5), sycamore (E6).? We would like to reduce the extent of overhanging. 3) Holly (N1): this tree is growing in the hedgerow on the western side of Sheila's Way path (the hedgerow and the path are owned by Blakeney Parish Council).? Branches of this holly (which is heavily covered in ivy) overhang the western boundary hedge of 39 New Road.? We would like to reduce the extent of the overhanging wayward branches. 4) Holly (N2): this tree was previously heavily?swamped with ivy which has largely been cleared leaving a rather empty/bare tree, particularly in its centre.? We think the tree would benefit from crown reduction so we would like to reduce the length of the branches by a maximum of 3 to 4 feet. We will take advice from the tree surgeon once he is on site.
