20/01395/CAT | Works to Trees in Conservation Area

14 Feilden Grove Oxford OX3 0DU

Fell 1no. Lawsons Cypress Tree as specified by Dr Nik Sabharwal in the Headington Hill Conservation Area 1. We have a rainwater recovery system collecting water in an underground tank. The leaves and pollen from the Cypress are blocking our gutters/filters and reducing our ability to collect the rainwater (which we use to flush our toilets and water the garden). The Cypress is thwarting our attempts at sustainable rainwater recycling. 2. There are several silver birch trees in very close distance and therefore replacing with a silver birch or liquid amber is more in keeping with the area. 3. The Cypress tree is the wrong species and in the wrong location for this area (planted by previous house owner).
