T1. Yew, reduce crown by 1.5m and lift house side. T2. Ash, reduce crown by 30%

Sycamore Tree. Reduce the crown by 25%, this being to the previous cut points, this being branch shortening of. 1.5m. The reason is the lean towards the house and the close proximity.

T1 Weeping Willow Tree - Fell. The reason the severe lean of the tree towards the house and the trees proximity to the house. T2 Lombardy Poplar tree - Fell. Reason: I have climbed and pruned this tree twice and reduced the height once during the last several 15 years. Whilst climbing I observed structural defects in the form of severely included bark unions and old cut open wounds with internal decay cavities. These symptoms are typical of this type of tree and with the slight lean and proximity to two houses, tree removal is required.

TPO M1031 - Oriental Plane (T1) - Reduce upper crown by 3m (see photo for guidance) cuts 2-4cm diameters; crown lift low laterals / outer crown over road, lawn etc (see detailed specification in report), prune to clear street lamp by 2.5m, prune to 3m spatial distance from the house wall, shorten 3m back from ornamental specimen front of No. 4 - NB. see report for detailed specification.

T.1 Walnut - Reduce lateral branches over garden house by 2M to alleviate end weight and reduce risk of failure from weak union stem at 3M from floor level. Crown lift to 4M from floor level

Crown lift by removing branches over house and crown thin by 20 to reduce the spread of the tree over the house, also remove the storm damage and any deadwood.(TPO15/1990)

G1 - Woodland Tree Line - Located on boundary, to rear/side of No. 64 Boundary Way. Consisting of 2x Mature Sycamore shown as T1 & T2, located close to the boundary line, with considerable overhang to property and garden area of no.64. Reduce overhanging laterals to reduce overextended limbs of Sycamore tree by 4.5M. Remove or carry our end-weight reduction to lower limbs in close proximity to house roof line, to provide suitable crown clearance from roofline of property block. To alleviate crown encroachment and light filter issues to property and garden, while reducing end weight to crown, reducing risk of limb failure to over extended limbs. Fell X1 Self-set Sycamore T3, located close to fence boundary. height approx 6/7m Fell and remove due to low value and poor siting growing under established trees. Further crown growth will likely cause continual conflict to adj property and boundary.

URGENT 5 DAY APPLICATION Please refer to document provide: Margaret House - recommended works. This former residential care home has now come back under the control and management of Hertfordshire County Council and unfortunately since the property has become vacant there have been a number of attempted break-ins and acts of vandalism. Therefore Herts CC are to install a number security cameras that will be monitored remotely. For this to be affective a certain amount of vegetation needs to be cut back/removed so that 360 vision can be gained throughout the site. Not all of Margaret house falls within the conservation area. I have highlighted in yellow (within the recommended works document) the trees that do. Also included within this document is the proposed works to some small hedges/shrubs that are regularly maintained and are under 2 meters in height but still need to be removed to allow full coverage by security cameras. I assume these do not come under Conservation area protection.

T1 - Oak - Crown reduction by 2 - 3m back to secondary growth points, leaving a final height of 14m and spread of 12m. T2 - Oak - Reduce spread growing into the house to provide clearance of 2m (005/1960/TPO).

Trees in a Conservation Area: T1 Beech tree: Crown thin 10% and reduce lower overhang to house and garden by 1/2m and T2 Ash tree: Reduce 2 overhanging branches by 1/2m
