Caravan on site to provide temporary accommodation for the nursery employees and septic tank (RETROSPECTIVE) Planning permission refused in February 2020 (19/03920/FUL) due to: (1) inadequate justification to demonstrate on-site workers accommodation is essential to sustain the viability of the farming enterprise; and (2) the incongruous appearance and siting of the caravan. An appeal against this refusal was also dismissed in May 2021 with the appointed Planning Inspector commenting that no evidence had been provided to prove that an upgraded heating system would be cost prohibitive for the applicant. He did, however, conclude that the caravan has not led to the incremental erosion of the Crews Hill Defined Area, nor has it caused significant harm to the rural character and appearance of the area. In response to the Planning Inspector's comments this application is now accompanied by a quote for a new heating system and a supporting letter/accounts from the applicant's accountant confirming that these upgrade works would be cost prohibitive
