The City of London Corporation has received a request for an EIA Scoping Opinion under regulation 15 of the Town and Country Planning (Environmental Impact Assessment) Regulations 2017 for the redevelopment of a site including 1 Undershaft. The proposals involve the demolition of the existing building and the construction of a ground plus 74 storey building for office use (Class E, up to approximately 109,980m²), retail, and food and beverage facilities (Use Class E, up to approximately 2,590m²) viewing gallery and education spaces (up to approximately 2,450m²).
