Area of woodland i have outlined in maps contains many mature and fantastic trees- we would like to remove all holly and laurel which vary in size but are on average around the middle canopy level they have started to take over the woodland area over the years so hopefully by removing them we can create a better look and to give space to the more mature trees like the yews, beeches and oaks. 2.We would also like to remove dead trees and leave for habitat, also cleaning up any already fallen tree again for habitat. 3. Finally any large areas of nettles and brambles we would like to flail down to open this woodland up and hopefully gets some ridding tracks clear for horse riding and general use of this lovely woodland. I understand this is brief but im happy to organise a meeting with the tree officer to go over and explain what we want to do and achieve. Prior notification for new track to provide a vehicular access across the agricultural land for the purposes of forestry extraction and livestock management This area of woodland was planted in the 1960s and is now ready for felling, some of the timber is larch which can suffer from the larch disease Phytophthora Ramorum and if this timber contracts this it will have to be removed due to risk of the disease become prevalent.
