T1 Corsican pine (referred to as T3 in AIA)- Excavations within the RPA of T1 to facilitate installation of below ground utilities, construction of footpath using 3D cellular confinement systems within RPA of T1, ajacent to new dwelling. Reason: To limit and prevent distubance/damage during phases of construction and development.

The proposal is to extend the rear of the property with a single storey extension extruding 2m from the existing building line, across the width of the property. The single storey extension is proposed to be 2m in depth and spanning the width of the northern elevation, excluding the garage area. To allow this development to proceed, there will not be a requirement to remove any trees. The project is to be built under the Certificate of Lawfulness (Permitted development) and the supporting report is to demonstrate how this can be achieved whilst maintaining the tree root system and minimizing the impact during construction.

T1 - T3 - sycamores. Reduce top by 5-6 meters and laterals by 3-4 meters. Reason is to balance trees as they have been cut back to the boundary by he next door development to aid construction access. There is also excessive shading the garden so would like to give the trees a 25% thin. T4 - Robinia. Reduce top by 3-4 meters and laterals by 2.5 - 5 meters. Tree T1 was surveyed by us in October 2020 as part of a mortgage survey before a house purchase. The report is a combined VTA/5837 report. The reason for this approach was to ascertain the radial RPA of T1as there has been development very close to this tree. it is our belief that the tree has been damaged by the construction works evidenced by google earth imagery showing no tree protection at the time of construction and the obvious decline in vitality of the tree. Although it does not pose an immediate danger we have recommended the tree is removed whilst it is easy to do so. It is understood that a TPO has been applied to the tree and the client would be willing to carry out mitigation planting.
