Works to a Tree with a TPO: Hand dig a trench on the perimeter of the proposed rear extension parallel to the existing house to understand the extend of roof growths and potential pruning that might be required during construction.

We intend to carry out maintenance of a number of trees at this address. No tree works to TPO trees have been carried out for approximately a decade, meaning some proportionate maintenance is necessary. The intention is not to make any drastic changes.The tree numbers below refer to the 2009 Tree Survey prepared for the previous owners of the property in connection with planning application 09/01807/F for the construction of Compass House. Hornbeam (T006) - fell because of multiple tight unions and poorly healed wounds throughout the crown as commented on by Trees Officer Joanna Davies and dieback in the southern portion of the crown. There is potential for the tight unions to break apart over the existing site access, adjacent public footpath or neighbouring driveway. Replant with one standard non-fastigiate hornbeam in the same position during the planting season following completion of construction at the Lockton House site.

Notice of intent to carry out works to tree protected by Tree Preservation Order 18/12 - T3 Yew (Taxus baccata)- to reduce the crown closest to the house by 1.5m, remove epicormic growth from ground level to a height of 2.5m to facilitate the construction of a shed/store alongside. Tree T1 was surveyed by us in October 2020 as part of a mortgage survey before a house purchase. The report is a combined VTA/5837 report. The reason for this approach was to ascertain the radial RPA of T1as there has been development very close to this tree. it is our belief that the tree has been damaged by the construction works evidenced by google earth imagery showing no tree protection at the time of construction and the obvious decline in vitality of the tree. Although it does not pose an immediate danger we have recommended the tree is removed whilst it is easy to do so. It is understood that a TPO has been applied to the tree and the client would be willing to carry out mitigation planting.

T1 - To sectionally fell to ground level Sycamore tree adjacent to remains of Oast house in W2 - the tree is showing signs of die back within crown and has a large broken limb hanging. The tree will be in the way of future construction work put forward by the client G1 - To crown reduce holly trees by 3 metres laterally to produce a 3 metre hedge and cut back away from remains of Oast house in W2 for maintenance T2 & T3 - To cut back overhanging branches from Hornbeam and Sycamore trees to main stem adjacent to remains of Oast house in W2 so horizontally level with holly trees for maintenance to create a 3 metre hedge. T4 - To radially crown reduce Sycamore tree by 4 metres and crown lift to a height of 6 metres from the ground in W2 for maintenance and excessive overhang into neighbours property, 5 metre radial crown remaining.
