Notice of intent to carry out works to trees protected by Tree Preservation Order 23/82 - r/o 15 Edmund Green. Growing adjacent to the PROW that gives access to the nature reserve from the west, is a Purple Leaved Plum, within the Conservation Area. It has two stems, sub-lateral branches from which are resting on the garage roof of no 15. It is proposed to reduce the height of the smaller stem to the height of the existing fence, as previously done, and to crown lift the sub-laterals of the remaining stem to give approximately 0,5m clearance to the garage roof. r/o 56 Edmund Green, growing adjacent to the path that gives access to the nature reserve from Greenfields, is a group of 5 closely spaced Common Oak, that overhang the rear garden of no 56, to an oppressive extent. Also, branches from the tree numbered 2 on the attached plan are in contact with the tiled roof of the out-house. It is proposed to crown lift tree no 3 to give approximately 0.5m clearance to the out-house roof, and to reduce the lateral spread of the remainder (mainly trees 3 and 6) above the garden by approximately 2m, cutting back to suitable growth points.

T1 Turkey Oak - Crown raise over the road and access to garage area to 5.2 metres to meet statutory requirements. Reduce the lateral branches overhanging the garden of 65 Robinia Green back to suitable points as near to the fence line as possible. Remove all sucker growth and smaller diameter stems from around the base of the tree.

T1 (012400) English Oak Adjacent to no 12 : Reduce limb growing over roof by 2.5m; prune the upper crown back to about 0.5m behind fence (grass side) T1 (97024) English Oak Adjacent to no 15 : Prune to give 2.5m / 3m clearance from house; crown lift over fence and garage to achieve 1 - 1.5m clearance. Reason: Appropriate arboricultural maintenance to ensure long-term clearance.

G6) Common ash tree (Fraxinus excelsior), common holly tree (Ilex aquifolium) - Remove 11 Ash trees from group to open up space and give space for remaining trees to develop and grow. (T3) Pedunculate oak tree (Quercus robur) crown reduce by 30% (3m height reduction and other works).

Aim - Crown reduction to reduce the overall size and shape thus allowing more light to the Silver Birch Tree. A reduction of 5ft. Silver Birch Tree - rear garden Aim - Crown clean to remove dead and dying wood to prolong life of the tree. Eucalyptus Tree - east side of garden Aim - Crown reduction by 10-15% its height and proximity to our eastern boundary. It's height has become a concern to our elderly neighbour at no 76a. Elder tree - east side of garden adjacent to neighbour no 78 fence and shed. Aim - remove as dead. We intend to plant new trees once the works have been completed. Currently we have 2 new apple trees and a Persian Ironwood tree to be added to the garden in G1. We are liaising with our arborealist about sourcing suitable trees.
