TPO 135/1990 1) Fell dead Horse Chestnut tree in front garden TPO number unknown. The Landscape Officer has undertaken a site visit and agreed that the tree is dead and can be removed. A dead tree eating fungus on the trunk confirmed that it has unfortunately died. Replacement agreed with a small Mountain Ash to be planted at lease 2m from current dead tree. Due to size of tree the trunk will be felled to an approximate height of 1 metre. 2) Row of Sycamore trees on highway land beyond rear boundary- Raise canopy of trees to approx 10 metres above ground level, cut back to boundary/trunk. The lower branches are currently growing over the boundary, causing considerable overhang, shading and disruption to our garden.

1. T1 - Purple Beech - Fell to ground level. The tree is located in the rear garden on the on East Side, next to garden cottage, approx. 5-6m height. The tree is poor form, with significant decay which is likely caused by squirrel damage. The works are requested due to poor form and poor health, to allow light to newly planted hedge, and allow space for garden landscaping project, next to patio. No replanting is requested due to number of large specimens Copper Beech within the rear garden. 2. T2 - Goat Willow - Removal of lowest lateral branch overhanging the outdoor kitchen area, back to boundary. The branch is impeding on the outdoor kitchen area.

G.1 Group of 10 Sycamore trees. Fell to ground level low amenity trees. Trees to be removed and new boundary fence and shrubs / trees to be planted as replacemnt T.1 Ash - Fell to ground level Ash tree in decline - Ash dieback H.2 - Conifer hedgerow - Fell to ground level hedge in 'L' shape due to dieback garden side. Re plant with Yew T.3 Lime - fell to ground level self seeded tree T.4 Sycamore - Fell sucker shoots x3 to allow more light and space to re landscape area.

2 x Sycamore - Fell, these trees cause excessive shading and I plan to re-landscape the garden in order to plant other alternative plant species. 2 Sycamore - Crown reduce by removing the 4 metres (approx) of new growth in line with previous tree surgery of these trees lining the bank of the Bourn Brook which are immediately adjacent to my rear boundary of my property and overhang my garden casting considerable shade.

Holly T1 - fell to ground level and replace as per landscape plan. Zelkova T3 - translocate to location along boundary wall indicated on landscape plan. Both operations to be carried out to improve landscaping within rear garden as well as provide more useable areas of the garden and improve screening. As the enclosed Photographic Record shows, neither tree is thriving within the rear garden and nor are the previously unrecorded silver birch and holly adjacent to T7 previously discussed by Officers. Replacing the holly and translocating the zelkova will result in 2 specimens growing in a planting medium far more suitable than the current. Both trees also artificially foreshorten the rear garden and provide only limited screening in their current locations. Removal / translocation will also imncrease the useable garden area and provide more meaningful screening into and out of the property.

1. 4 x Oak trees - Crown reduction by 5 metre to boundary line Reasons mentioned below: 1) Risk to safety for people and pets living at the property 2) Maintenance of lawn and landscaping (paving, decking etc) which suffer from a huge amount of acorns, leaves (at least 20m cubed worth of dropped leaves annually), and continuous bird droppings throughout the year 3) Avoiding costly maintenance when branches break / fall and damage belongings, fences and landscaping

Cut back branches overhanging property boundary trees 1, 2 and 4. Fell tree 3. Approved work The trees are to receive a reduction to keep them from becoming a further nuisance to residents. As the trees will only grow taller and become more of an increased problem down the line. This works will increase the longevity of the trees in the current landscape. No trees are being removed.

T2) Under TPO. Neighbours S/S Beech tree against the boundary. Reduce overhang by 3m max, leaving 2.5m radial spread over garden. To allow evening light and landscaping of that area.

Lilac tree T1 - Cut branches back to boundary line. Apple Tree T2 - Thin Crown (15%) Holy Trees T3 - X4 small holly trees to be felled due to poor placement and Landscaping work would like to be done (new fence) Yew T4 - Fell due to shading of garden area/placement is on boundary line and new fence is to be erected Elder T5 - Fell due to shading of garden area/placement is on boundary line and new fence is to be erected.
