(TB2) twin-stemmed (from ground level) beech tree - Removal of one bough from the one stem. largely on my neighbour's side of our boundary fence but with some of the trunk in my garden, and one stem leaning westwards towards my house and thus almost completely overhanging my garden. Please be aware that my house is 10 years old and so far my property has been damaged three times by beech trees blown over by prevailing SW winds. Several years ago a mature tree fell over from the garden of 4 Elvetham Close causing significant damage to the roof of my house. In February 2022 two mature beech trees growing next to each other fell from the garden of Chase House, causing significant damage to my garden, fences and outdoor furniture and more minor damage to the house. I, and my wife in particular, are now concerned about the stability of any trees that are within striking distance of our house, lean our way, and share root balls with other trees. In this respect TB2 is our main concern. We would like to keep such trees pruned and stable. Please also note that my answer the question about tree ownership relates to TB2 only - TSC1 is mine.

1. (TSC1) Sweet Chestnut - Fell In my garden, which is pushing against my fence. This tree is near to a dense group of beech trees, overhangs my garden completely including directly above my summer house. I would like to fell it. Please note that if I am required to plant a replacement it cannot be in exactly the same location as TSC1 is over a main electricity supply to our road and I am not allowed to plant trees within the protected strip. The tree is an aspen, labelled T1 . This tree is around 20m high and has a public footpath and livery stables to one side and a house to the rear, as shown in the attached plan "aspen position". This tree has lost a number of large branches in very windy and stormy weather (as can be seen from the attached photos) and has caused damage to the property behind as well as a period where a branch overhung the stables until we could get someone to deal with it. The branches were found to be diseased explaing why they fell. In summer, when the tree is in full leaf, the branches become very heavy leading to the potential for danger to anyone underneath. It is also unbalanced as a result of the breakage but new growth can be seen below the proposed cutting line (aspen proposed cutting line.jpg). We have contacted the two neighbours most affected by the threat from the tree and they support this. The proposal is to reduce the height by around 40%, encouraging further growth much lower down and reducing the risk of danger to people and property in the area.

T1,T5,T6 - Scots Pines - Thinning by 10% creating a tidy balanced, stable trees to reduce increased vulnerability. Remove from all trees broken off ends back to tree trunks. T2 - remove split branch.T3 - Scots Pine - Remove large branch hanging over pavement. T4 - Scots Pine - Remove three branches touching house approximately 2 m cut back.

2/TPO/00025: T1 Horse Chestnut- To remove 2 x lower lateral limbs over road back to main stem, crown lift over road to 6m above ground level. To reduce end weight of large lowest lateral limbs over road and crown lift to 5m above ground level over Rabbit Lane and Old Stable Mews. T2 Beech- To crown lift to 5m above ground level over Rabbit Lane. To reduce end weight of large lateral limb growing towards Bexwell House to clear boundary wall. T3 Oak (Small) - To crown lift to 5m above ground level over Rabbit Lane only

Tree number W12. We have 3 large sycamores (S1, S2 and S3) and 1 oak tree (O4) which require pollarding to improve light quality/reduce shading to properties. Other trees in the woodland area have fallen in the last 2/3 years and whilst the 4 subject trees currently appear to be stable we have concerns over their proximity to property. The sycamores in particular have significant height and weight, are closest to the house and likely to cause potential problems in the future if no action is taken now. Pollarding by 30% of the current size would alleviate the situation. TPO#: 12E.

All pruning cuts shall be made to suitable secondary growth points and shall maintain a stable platform for the expected regrowth. 3 Yew x 2 rear garden LHS : Laterally reduce by 1 metre to clear building and reduce protruding branches as pictured by 3 metres to match remainder. 4 Holly LHS of house : Reduce laterally by 2 metres. To allow light in to garden and to clear building. Stop squirrels entering the roof. 1- 8 x 5 down to 7.5 x 4.5. 2- 12 x 6 down to 12 x 5. 3 - 12 x 7 down to 12 x 5

AMENDED PRUNING SPECIFICATION SEE CONDITION 2 AND INFORMATIVE 2 FOR APPROVED WORKS AND GENERAL GUIDANCE. 1 Sycamore x 6 rear garden Crown Reduction - Reducing the height of the tree by up to 4 metres and lateral spread over garden by up to 3 metres. All pruning cuts shall be made to suitable secondary growth points and shall maintain a stable platform for the expected regrowth Approx 12m x 7m to 8m x 4m to allow light into garden and house. 2 Hawthorn rear bounday Tree slightly up rooted leaning over garden, reduce 2 stems by up to 5 metres to stabilise tree Approx 9m tall however angled - limb reduction to prevent tree falling - client wanted to keep for screening

Lateral reduction by 1.8m-2.4m overhanging roof and crown clean canopy over garden space to 1no. Sycamore Tree (Spring Field House). Crown reduction by 1.8m-2.4m to previous pruning points, and lateral reduction to boundary fence line to 1no. Horse Chestnut and 1no. Sycamore Tree (The Stables). Tree Preservation Order 17/1987.
