Works to a Tree with a TPO: Hand dig a trench on the perimeter of the proposed rear extension parallel to the existing house to understand the extend of roof growths and potential pruning that might be required during construction.

The trees affected by these works are covered within TPO 99 0656. Having consulted with an arboricultural consultant the proposed measures to ensure that works can be reasonably progressed are as per, Ravencroft Arboricultural Services Arboricultural Method Statement - Project Number PP/NWHCS/AMS/01 - Drawing No 151123/01 Rev C. The proposed works include the following items of work, 1. Removal of concrete slab and foundations to substantially demolished building. 2. Demolition and removal of existing dilapidated gas meter housing 3. Subject to existence and nature of any tree roots encountered in connection with the above it is proposed that the areas affected by these works be reinstated to include 2 No disabled parking bays (construction details typically as per included within this Planning Application), and / or soft landscaping. 4. Supply and installation of new housing to existing gas meter etc. 5. Separate to the above it is proposed to install a timber and concrete post approximately 10m in length to provide a visual screen adjacent temporary structure. (It is anticipated that there will be some adjustment to existing levels - it is intended that any changes to existing ground levels be kept to a minimum albeit in the event that the works do incorporate 2 No new disabled parking bays then the finish levels will need to be reasonably practicable and not " steep / excessively steep")

(Works to T13, G14, T15, T16, G100, and T101 are to facilitate the erection of a scaffold framework with Monarflex type sheeting around the riding school to facilitate repair works. Works to T18 and T19 are to facilitate the construction of a new boundary treatment that requires a greater clearance from ground level than the trees currently have. 2/TPO/00078 - All trees and works identified and explained within the Arboricultural Method Statement.The scheduled works involve: - Excavating a 20m length trench 1.1m deep to the invert level at this location and will be laid as open-cut in a 450mm wide trench which widens to 900mm every 12m distance for jointing of the pipe. Work is within the un-made road surface in close proximity to two trees (Ref: NWS tree T7 and T9) that are protected by a Tree Preservation Order (Ref: 2-TPO-00078 1980 No.02). Other trees are recorded on the tree schedule (T6 and T8) which are covered by a TPO, require barrier protection to avoid damage during the scheduled construction works. Protection measures are described in this AMS and displayed on the TPP sheet 1. - Excavation to install a vacuum pot and lateral pipe that runs in close proximity to TPO trees T57, T58 and T59 (Ref: 2-TPO-00078 1980 No.02 G3). Removal of T57 is required and protection measures are described in this AMS and displayed on the TPP sheet 2. - Excavation to install the main pipe and laterals in close proximity to TPO trees T42 and T43 (Ref: 2-TPO-00078 1980 No.02) T4 and T5). Protection measures are described in this AMS and displayed on the TPP sheet 3 at Saxon Way Wormegay Norfolk

G1 Various - Crown lift all trees as required to 3m from ground level and fell the following tree species with stem diameters less than 200mm DBH located within 1m of the path edge: Sycamore, Ash, Elder. Hazel, Holly, Hawthorn and any other species can be pruned back to the site boundary to allow fence construction.

Felling 3 Dead Trees (T19i, T22i & T42i) - 5 day notice. Proposed removal of Sycamore T42i. The tree is suffering severe crown die back presumed to be a result of the particularly dry spring and early summer months (refer to photograph 1). The extent of die back has left the tree susceptible to crown failure, compromising public safety and the owners duty of care. It is proposed to replace the tree a maximum of 2m from position of T42i with 1No . Field Maple - Acer campestre at standard tree form 8-10cm girth. Proposed removal of tree group G45i. These pole type trees are growing very close to rear corner of dwelling at plot 5 to such an extent the routeing of drains and the necessary building up of ground levels will compromise the trees retention (refer to photograph 2). The 3 items are not shown for retention on the approved plans and it appears were mistakenly omitted from the initial site clearance work. No replacement planting considered necessary due to abundant adjoining tree cover and proximity to dwelling under construction. Proposed removal of Sycamore T119i. The tree is suffering severe crown die back presumed to be a result of the particularly dry spring and early summer months (refer to photograph 3). The extent of die back leaves the tree susceptible to crown failure compromising public safety and the owners duty of care. It is proposed to replace the tree a maximum of 2m from position of T119i with 1No . Field Maple - Acer campestre at standard tree form 8-10cm girth. Removal of Pine T122i. The tree is dead due to longstanding suppression/overcrowding (refer to photograph 4). No replacement planting considered necessary due to abundant adjoining tree cover. If the Tree Officer is amenable it would be helpful to meet on site to resolve any issues that may arise due to the timescales proposed.
