1. Horse chestnut avenue - side prune lower canopies that overhang the road back to edge of road and to create clearance of 6m above ground level. Side prune lower canopies that overhang field to retain canopy spread towards field of no less than 3m and to create clearance of 6m above ground level. Reason being to allow access for farm equipment. Thin existing trees by felling selected poorest individuals to provide space for continued development of retained better individuals. No more than half of the existing trees to be removed and with the general aim to retain alternate trees in order to maintain the integrity of the tree lined avenue along the full length of the private drive. Replant with approx. equal numbers of hawthorn, yew and holly at a rate of at least 1 replacement for each tree removed with each to be planted within 3m of stumps of removed trees. Replacement trees will be planted within 12 months should any of the replacement trees die. 2. Leylandii hedge - fell to ground level and replace at same place with mixed native hedgerow using at least 6 woody species planted at 50cm centres in dual staggered rows 50cm apart. 3. Beech - reduce to 2m tall monolith due to colonisation by Meripilus fungus resulting in unacceptable level of risk of whole tree failure onto property or personal harm. Replant with oak or sweet chestnut within 5m of stump. Replacement will be planted within 12 months should the replacement tree die.
