Group G1 - this is a large group of trees running along the foreshore of the club on the riverside. It is predominantly populated by tall, single stem poplars and willows. The roots are relatively shallow and have a lot of decay present as they constantly under water and are rooted into soft mud. There were numerous trees blown over in the recent storm, some which were resting on the retaining fence leading on to the river. There are also various deciduous trees such as sycamores and maples at the top of the bank that have grown too large for their location. We would like to reduce the poplars and willows down to 6-8 meters in height to alleviate the weight and mechanical loading on the stems and root system. This will also prevent them falling onto the perimeter fence and causing it to fail. Some of them have been reduced in the past and will just be reduced back to previous points. The various other trees on the foreshaw need to be reduced in height to circa 12 meters to maintain a suitable size for their location. There are also various trees that are growing out of the retaining wall towards the river, these will be removed. The club have recently commissioned a survey from a specialist firm to determine the integrity of the retaining wall running along the clubs river boundary to assess the effectiveness of the flood defence. The report has found numerous weaknesses in the wall due to self-sown trees and vegetation which all needs to be removed before structural strengthening is undertaken. The idea is to retain the trees to maintain screening from the flats and warehouses on the opposite side of the river.

G1 - Pair of Hazel -Reduce in height and lateral spread by no more than 2m, meaning overall reduction, or branch removal is by no more than 2m leaving the remaining tree no smaller than 4.5m or so. Trees located on the boundary line of the flats near tow path

T2 Dead Chamaecyparis lawsoniana (Lawson cypress) on rear left hand boundary - Dismantle tree in sections to as close to ground level as possible. T3 Tilia (Lime) on rear left hand boundary in neighbouring property (7 Denbridge Road) - Reduce all overhang back to boundary line, making sure to only remove smaller secondary growth. T4 Acer pseudoplatanus (Sycamore) on rear boundary in neighbouring property (Flats at rear of 9 Denbridge Road) - Reduce all overhang back to boundary line, making sure to only remove smaller secondary growth.

T1- Eucalyptus: Reduce crown by 3m. G2- Hazel and Lawson: Reduce the lateral spread back to the boundary. T2- Lawson Cypress: Crown lift hedge to give a ground clearance of 3m above the parking bays. G3- Fastigiate Hornbeam x4: Reduce lateral spread toward flats by 1m to previous reduction points. Reduce in height by 4m to previous reduction points. Reduce the lateral spread on neighbour side by 1.5-2m to maintain clearance. T3- Cherry: Reduce lateral spread toward building by approx. 1.5m and crown lift by 0.5m on roadside to clear top of hornbeam hedge. T4- Robinia Frisia: Reduce in height by 1-2m to previous reduction points. Reduce lateral spread by 1m. T5- Robinia: Prune out significant deadwood. Reduce lateral spread over rear corner of the building by 2.5m approx. Also remove lowest limb (originating at 3m) to south west over road surface. There are 3 Lime Trees Numbered no 1. no 2. no 3 on the attached sketch at the back of the block of flats which need pollarding to the level that they were cut to 3 or 4 years ago. This is required because of excessive shading. There are 2 rather straggly Elder Trees Numbered No 4 .No 5. on the attached sketch which are beginning to touch the roof of the Industrial Building the other side of our boundary wall. We would like to cut them back completely and replant more suitable small trees.

Holly: Cut back 100% of growth growing toward house and over garden area as with above, leaving all growth parallel with Fernbank Court flats boundary to retain screening. Group of 3 x Lawson Cypress: Remove the two trees closest to Fernbank Road.

A1 Lime on front-left boundary, on the bank of Kyd Brook - Remove overgrown basal suckers growing out over pavement and toward the flats (the straighter ones will remain). A2 Various species along Kyd Brook (from adjacent to lime (A1) up to boundary wall at rear of adjacent property): i) Sycamore (300mm diameter): Remove basal suckers and 2 no. lowest branches; ii) Group of saplings (1 no. Ash, 2 no. Elder; 1 no. Elm) - Fell to ground level; iii) Sycamore (150mm diameter) - Section fell to ground level; iv) Lime (ivy-covered, 150mm diameter), adjacent to the above - Section fell to ground level; v) Privet (group adjacent to the above, up to boundary wall) - Fell to ground level; vi) Sycamore x2 (100mm diameter) - Section fell to as close to ground level as practicable. A3 Various species: Saplings (Holly, Ash, Sycamore), ivy and bramble etc. around Cotoneaster on front boundary, to right of pedestrian entrance (approx 8m linear section, up to the point where the tips of the elm branches are overhanging) - Grub out all saplings, cut down and treat the holly, brushcut the bramble and ivy to ground level and remove the lowest fork from the overhanging elm tree at the right hand end. Lightly prune the Cotoneaster, to shape. A4 Holly x5: Self sown trees growing to right side of entrance steps - Fell and treat stumps with Eco-Plugs to prevent regrowth. A5 Holly growing against low retaining wall adjacent to front right of building - Fell to ground level. A6 Elm (dead) on embankment (right boundary) adjacent to large poplars - Fell to ground level. A7 Ash and Elder overhanging rear lawn (right side) - Remove the lowest 2 no. major branches from the elder and the lowest limb from the ash (limb diameter approx 80mm).

1 Mulberry Tree - Reduce by 40%. 1 Ash - Reduce large bough overhanging Linkside flats, back to boundary line.

T04 - Cotoneaster - suppressed tree growing from base of fence, Damaging and lifting panel, Multi stem at 0.2m, Minor deadwood throughout crown in range of 25mm and smaller, No fruiting bodies present at time of inspection. Recommendation - Carefully fell to near ground level.Treat stump using eco plugs. T05 - Sycamore - self-sown tree on boundary of garden, Grown through fence, Causing damage to fence and undermining neighbouring shed, Minor deadwood present in Crown in range of 25mm and smaller, No fruiting bodies present at time of inspection. Recommendation - Carefully fell to near ground level.Treat stump using eco plugs. T06 - Silver Maple - Roots growing through base of boundary brick wall, Main stem within 5m of dwelling, Crown reduced in past, Minor deadwood present in Crown in range of 25mm and smaller, Casting vast shading over apartments creating damp conditions within apartments, Low lateral branches overhanging public footpath and dwelling, No fruiting bodies present at time of inspection.
